Al-Inshiqaq

انشقت:
1- بسكون التاء وصلا ووقفا، وهى قراءة الجمهور.
وقرئ:
2- بإشمام الكسر وقفا، وهى قراءة عبيد بن عقيل، عن أبى عمرو.
وكذا فيما بعدها.

وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ٢
And has listened [i.e., responded]1 to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ ٤
And has cast out that within it1 and relinquished [it]

وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ٥
And has listened [i.e., responded] to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] –

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدۡحٗا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ ٦
O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion1 and will meet it.2

فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ ٧
Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

ويقلب، مضارع «قلب» ، مبنيا للمفعول، وهى قراءة زيد بن على.

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهِۦ ١٠
But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

يصلى:
1- بفتح الياء مبنيا للفاعل، وهى قراءة قتادة، وأبى جعفر، وعيسى، وطلحة، والأعمش، وعاصم، وأبى عمرو، وحمزة.
وقرئ:
2- بضم الياء وفتح الصاد واللام مشددة، وهى قراءة باقى السبعة، وعمر بن عبد العزيز، وأبى الشعثاء، والحسن، والأعرج.
3- بضم الياء ساكن الصاد مخفف اللام، بنى للمفعول من المتعدى بالهمزة، وهى قراءة أبى الأشهب، وخارجة، عن نافع، وأبان عن عاصم، وعيسى أيضا، والعتكي، وجماعة، عن أبى عمرو.

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورًا ١٣
Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ ١٤
Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allāh].

بَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرٗا ١٥
But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever, of him, Seeing.

84:19Page 589
لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٖ ١٩
[That] you will surely embark upon [i.e., experience] state after state.1
لتركبن:
وقرئ:
1- بتاء الخطاب وفتح الباء، وهى قراءة عمر بن عبد الله، وابن عباس، ومجاهد، والأسود، وابن جبير، ومسروق، والشعبي، وأبى العالية، وابن وثاب، وطلحة، وعيسى، والأخوين، وابن كثير.
2- بالياء وفتح الباء، وهى قراءة عمر، وابن عباس أيضا.
3- بتاء الخطاب وضم الباء، وهى قراءة عمر، وابن عباس أيضا، وأبى جعفر، والحسن، وابن جبير، وقتادة، والأعمش، وباقى الأعمش.
4- بالتاء وكسر الباء، على خطاب النفس، وهى قراءة ابن مسعود.
84:20Page 589
فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ٢٠
So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لَا يَسۡجُدُونَۤ۩ ٢١
And when the Qur’ān is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allāh]?

يكذبون:
1- مشددا، وهى قراءة الجمهور.
وقرئ:
2- مخففا، وبفتح الياء، وهى قراءة الضحاك، وابن أبى عبلة.
84:23Page 589
وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ ٢٣
And Allāh is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.
يوعون:
وقرئ:
يعون، من «وعى يعى» ، وهى قراءة أبى رجاء.

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونِۭ ٢٥
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
