هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَجَرَيۡنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٖ طَيِّبَةٖ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَآءَتۡهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أُحِيطَ بِهِمۡ دَعَوُاْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنۡ أَنجَيۡتَنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ٢٢
It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them1 by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from every place and they expect to be engulfed, they supplicate Allāh, sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

Ai jua bëri të mundur udhëtimin në tokë e në det. -Në ajetet e mësipërme, Allahu i Madhëruar bëri një përshkrim të përgjithshëm të njerëzve të cilët nuk dinë të reagojnë me mirënjohje kur, pas ndonjë fatkeqësie, Ai i begaton me mëshirën e Tij dhe, pas vështirësisë, u sjell lehtësimin. Në ajetet në vijim, Ai sjell një rast që e shpjegon dhe e përforcon edhe më shumë këtë sjellje të tyre. Kur janë në mes të oqeanit të egërsuar dhe me dallgë tmerruese, ata i zë frika e vdekjes. Allahu i Madhëruar thotë:Kur janë në anije, të cilat i lëviz era e lehtë, ata janë të lumtur me këtë; -Në bazë të ligjeve të caktuara nga Ai për të mirën tuaj, ju mund të ndërtoni anije dhe të udhëtoni në det këndshëm dhe pa u shqetësuar nga asgjë. Ju gëzoheni me erën e mirë dhe qetësoheni me të. Por kur jeni në një situatë tjetër:por, kur vjen ndonjë erë e fortë dhe ata përfshihen nga valët nga të gjitha anët, ata binden se janë të shkatërruar; prandaj e lusin Allahun me sinqeritet, duke iu përkushtuar vetëm Atij në fenë e Tij(duke thënë): “Nëse na shpëton nga kjo gjendje, ne do të të jemi gjithnjë falënderues. -Gjendja ndryshon kur ata goditen nga ndonjë stuhi e fortë me dallgë, që i përfshin nga çdo anë. Në të tilla kushte, ata e shohin fundin afër dhe kështu e shkëpusin çdo lidhje dhe shpresë nga krijesat. Në ato momente binden se askush nuk mund t’i shpëtojë nga ajo vështirësi veç Zotit, prandaj edhe i luten me sinqeritet e përkushtim Atij, duke premtuar se: “Nëse na shpëton nga kjo (katastrofë), ne do të jemi gjithnjë falënderues.”

10:21
وَإِذَآ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحۡمَةٗ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتۡهُمۡ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكۡرٞ فِيٓ ءَايَاتِنَاۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسۡرَعُ مَكۡرًاۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكۡتُبُونَ مَا تَمۡكُرُونَ ٢١
And when We give the people a taste of mercy after adversity has touched them, at once they conspire against Our verses. Say, "Allāh is swifter in strategy." Indeed, Our messengers [i.e., angels] record that which you conspire.
10:22

10:23
فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمۡ إِذَا هُمۡ يَبۡغُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّۗ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغۡيُكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۖ مَّتَٰعَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيۡنَا مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ٢٣
But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice1 upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.

10:24
إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِمَّا يَأۡكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زُخۡرُفَهَا وَٱزَّيَّنَتۡ وَظَنَّ أَهۡلُهَآ أَنَّهُمۡ قَٰدِرُونَ عَلَيۡهَآ أَتَىٰهَآ أَمۡرُنَا لَيۡلًا أَوۡ نَهَارٗا فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا حَصِيدٗا كَأَن لَّمۡ تَغۡنَ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٢٤
The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest,1 as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

10:25
وَٱللَّهُ يَدۡعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ ٢٥
And Allāh invites to the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] and guides whom He wills to a straight path.
