قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ فَجَعَلۡتُم مِّنۡهُ حَرَامٗا وَحَلَٰلٗا قُلۡ ءَآللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمۡۖ أَمۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَفۡتَرُونَ ٥٩
Say, "Have you seen what Allāh has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allāh permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allāh?"

Commentary on 10:59–60
أَرَأَيْتُمْ أخبرونى. وما أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ «ما» في موضع النصب بأنزل، أو ب أرأيتم، في معنى: أخبرونيه فَجَعَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ حَراماً وَحَلالًا أى أنزله الله رزقا حلالا كله فبعضتموه وقلتم: هذا حلال وهذا حرام وكقولهم هذِهِ أَنْعامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ، ما فِي بُطُونِ هذِهِ الْأَنْعامِ خالِصَةٌ لِذُكُورِنا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلى أَزْواجِنا آللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمْ متعلق ب أرأيتم. وقل: تكرير للتوكيد.
والمعنى: أخبرونى الله أذن لكم في التحليل والتحريم فأنتم تفعلون ذلك بإذنه، أم تتكذبون على الله في نسبة ذلك إليه. ويجوز أن تكون الهمزة للإنكار، وأم منقطعة بمعنى: بل أتفترون على الله، تقريرا للافتراء. وكفى بهذه الآية زاجرة زجراً بليغاً عن التجوز فيما يسئل عنه من الأحكام. وباعثة على وجوب الاحتياط فيه، وأن لا يقول أحد في شيء جائز أو غير جائز إلا بعد إيقان وإتقان، ومن لم يوقن فليتق الله وليصمت، وإلا فهو مفتر على الله يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ منصوب بالظنّ، وهو ظنّ واقع فيه، يعنى: أى شيء ظنّ المفترين في ذلك اليوم ما يصنع بهم فيه وهو يوم الجزاء بالإحسان والإساءة، وهو وعيد عظيم حيث أبهم أمره. وقرأ عيسى بن عمر: وما ظنّ، على لفظ الفعل. ومعناه: وأى ظنّ ظنوا يوم القيامة. وجيء به على لفظ الماضي لأنه كائن فكأن قد كان إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ حيث أنعم عليهم بالعقل ورحمهم بالوحي وتعليم الحلال والحرام وَلكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لا يَشْكُرُونَ هذه النعمة ولا يتبعون ما هدوا إليه.

10:54
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفۡسٖ ظَلَمَتۡ مَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَٱفۡتَدَتۡ بِهِۦۗ وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ ٥٤
And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged.
10:55
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٥٥
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allāh is truth, but most of them do not know.
10:56
هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ٥٦
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned.
10:57
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُم مَّوۡعِظَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَشِفَآءٞ لِّمَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٥٧
O mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
10:58
قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ ٥٨
Say, "In the bounty of Allāh and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."
10:59

10:60
وَمَا ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ٦٠
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allāh on the Day of Resurrection?1 Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.

10:61
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأۡنٖ وَمَا تَتۡلُواْ مِنۡهُ مِن قُرۡءَانٖ وَلَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مِنۡ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيۡكُمۡ شُهُودًا إِذۡ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۚ وَمَا يَعۡزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثۡقَالِ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٍ ٦١
And, [O Muḥammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter and do not recite any of the Qur’ān and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight1 within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.
