وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأۡنٖ وَمَا تَتۡلُواْ مِنۡهُ مِن قُرۡءَانٖ وَلَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مِنۡ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيۡكُمۡ شُهُودًا إِذۡ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۚ وَمَا يَعۡزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثۡقَالِ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٍ ٦١
And, [O Muḥammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter and do not recite any of the Qur’ān and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight1 within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.

Commentary on 10:61
﴿وما تكون في شأن وما تتلو منه من قرآن﴾: الواو عاطفة، وما نافية، وتكون فعل مضارع ناقص ناسخ، واسم تكون مستتر تقديره أنت، و﴿في شأن﴾ خبر تكون، ﴿وما﴾ الواو عاطفة، وما نافية، وتتلو فعل مضارع، وفاعله مستتر تقديره: أنت، ومنه جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿تتلو﴾، والضمير يعود إلى القرآن، أو إلى الشأن، فتكون من تعليلية، أي: من أجل الشأن الذي كنت مسترسلًا فيه، ومن حرف صلة، وقرآن مفعول به محلاّ.
﴿ولا تعملون من عمل إلا كنا عليكم شهودا إذ تفيضون فيه﴾: الواو عاطفة، ولا تعملون عطف على ما تقدم، و﴿من﴾ حرف صلة، و﴿عمل﴾ مجرور لفظا مفعول به محلا، أو مفعول مطلق، وإلا أداة حصر، و﴿كنا﴾ فعل ماض ناقص ناسخ، و﴿نا﴾ اسم كا، وعليكم جار ومجرور متعلقان بقوله: ﴿شهودًا﴾، أي: شاهدين، وشهودًا خبر كنا، و﴿إذ﴾ ظرف لما مضى متعلق بـ﴿شهودًا﴾، وجملة ﴿تفيضون﴾ في محل جر بإضافة الظرف إليها، وفيه جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿تفيضون﴾.
﴿وما يعزب عن ربك من مثقال ذرة في الأرض ولا في السماء﴾: الواو حرف عطف، وما نافية، وعن ربك جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿يعزب﴾، ومن حرف صلة، ومثقال ذرة فاعل يعزب محلاًّ، و﴿في الأرض﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بمحذوف حال من ﴿مثقال ذرة﴾، أو صفة، ولا في السماء عطف.
﴿ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر إلا في كتاب مبين﴾: الواو استئنافية، والجملة بعدها مستأنفة لا محل لها من الإعراب، ولا نافية للجنس، وأصغر اسمها، و﴿من ذلك﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿أصغر﴾، ﴿ولا أكبر﴾ عطف على ﴿ولا أصغر﴾، وإلا أداة حصر، و﴿في كتاب مبين﴾ خبر ﴿لا﴾، ومبين صفة لـ﴿كتاب﴾.

10:54
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفۡسٖ ظَلَمَتۡ مَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَٱفۡتَدَتۡ بِهِۦۗ وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ ٥٤
And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged.
10:55
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٥٥
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allāh is truth, but most of them do not know.
10:56
هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ٥٦
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned.
10:57
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُم مَّوۡعِظَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَشِفَآءٞ لِّمَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٥٧
O mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
10:58
قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ ٥٨
Say, "In the bounty of Allāh and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."
10:59
قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ فَجَعَلۡتُم مِّنۡهُ حَرَامٗا وَحَلَٰلٗا قُلۡ ءَآللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمۡۖ أَمۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَفۡتَرُونَ ٥٩
Say, "Have you seen what Allāh has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allāh permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allāh?"
10:60
وَمَا ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ٦٠
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allāh on the Day of Resurrection?1 Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.

10:61
