سُورَةُ القارِعَةِ
مَكِّيَّةٌ بِلا خِلافٍ، وآيُها إحْدى عَشْرَةَ آيَةً في الكُوفِيِّ وعَشْرٌ في الحِجازِيِّ وثَمانٍ في البَصْرِيِّ والشّامِيِّ ومُناسَبَتُها لِما قَبْلَها أظْهَرُ مِن أنْ تُذْكَرَ.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿القارِعَةُ﴾ ﴿ما القارِعَةُ﴾ ﴿وما أدْراكَ ما القارِعَةُ﴾ الجُمْهُورُ عَلى أنَّها القِيامَةُ نَفْسُها ومَبْدَؤُها النَّفْخَةُ الأُولى ومُنْتَهاها فَصْلُ القَضاءِ بَيْنَ الخَلائِقِ، وقِيلَ: صَوْتُ النَّفْخَةِ. وقالَ الضَّحّاكُ: هي النّارُ ذاتُ التَّغَيُّظِ والزَّفِيرِ ولَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ. وأيًّا ما كانَ فَهي مِنَ القَرْعِ وهو الضَّرْبُ بِشِدَّةٍ بِحَيْثُ يَحْصُلُ مِنهُ صَوْتٌ شَدِيدٌ، وقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ الكَلامُ فِيها وكَذا ما يُعْلَمُ مِنهُ إعْرابُ ما ذُكِرَ في الكَلامِ عَلى قَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿الحاقَّةُ﴾ ﴿ما الحاقَّةُ﴾ ﴿وما أدْراكَ ما الحاقَّةُ﴾ وقَرَأ عِيسى: «القارِعَةَ» بِالنَّصْبِ، وخُرِّجَ عَلى أنَّهُ بِإضْمارِ فِعْلٍ؛ أيِ اذْكُرِ القارِعَةَ.

100:10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ ١٠
And that within the breasts is obtained,1

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ ١١
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.1

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
101:1
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ١
The Striking Calamity -
101:2
مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ٢
What is the Striking Calamity?
101:3
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ٣
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
101:4
يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ ٤
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,1

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ ٥
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.1

101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٦
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
101:7
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ ٧
He will be in a pleasant life.
101:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٨
But as for one whose scales are light,
101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ ٩
101:10
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ١٠
And what can make you know what that is?
101:11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ ١١
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
سورة التكاثر
At-Takathur
The Rivalry in world increase · Meccan · 8 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
102:1
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ١
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
102:2
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ ٢
Until you visit the graveyards.1

102:3
كـَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٣
No! You are going to know.
102:4
ثُمَّ كـَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٤
Then, no! You are going to know.
102:5
كـَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ ٥
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...1

102:6
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ ٦
You will surely see the Hellfire.
102:7
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ ٧
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.1

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٨
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.1
