ثُمَّ كـَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٤
Then, no! You are going to know.

Commentary on 102:4
(ثم كلا سوف تعلمون) ثم للدلالة على، أن الثاني أبلغ من الأول، وقيل الأول عند الموت أو في القبر، والثاني يوم القيامة قال الفراء: هذا التكرار على وجه التغليظ والتأكيد، قال مجاهد: هو وعيد بعد وعيد، وكذا قال الحسن ومقاتل.
وجعله الشيخ جمال الدين بن مالك من التوكيد اللفظي مع توسط حرف العطف، وقال الزمخشري والتكرير تأكيد للردع والرد عليهم، ونقل عن علي (كلا سوف تعلمون) في الدنيا (ثم كلا سوف تعلمون) في الآخرة، فعلى هذا يكون غير مكرر لحصول التغاير بينهما لأجل تغاير المتعلقين، وثم على بابها من المهلة وحذف متعلق العلم في الأفعال الثلاثة لأن الغرض هو الفعل لا متعلقه، والعلم بمعنى المعرفة فيتعدى لمفعول واحد قاله السمين.

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ ١٠
And that within the breasts is obtained,1

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ ١١
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.1

Al-Qari'ah
The Calamity · Meccan · 11 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
101:1
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ١
The Striking Calamity -
101:2
مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ٢
What is the Striking Calamity?
101:3
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ٣
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
101:4
يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ ٤
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,1

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ ٥
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.1

101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٦
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
101:7
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ ٧
He will be in a pleasant life.
101:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٨
But as for one whose scales are light,
101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ ٩
101:10
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ١٠
And what can make you know what that is?
101:11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ ١١
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
سورة التكاثر
At-Takathur
The Rivalry in world increase · Meccan · 8 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
102:1
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ١
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
102:2
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ ٢
Until you visit the graveyards.1

102:3
كـَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٣
No! You are going to know.
102:4
ثُمَّ كـَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٤
Then, no! You are going to know.
102:5
كـَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ ٥
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...1

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ ٦
You will surely see the Hellfire.
102:7
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ ٧
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.1

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٨
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.1
