وَٱتَّبَعۡتُ مِلَّةَ ءَابَآءِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَۚ مَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نُّشۡرِكَ بِٱللَّهِ مِن شَيۡءٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡنَا وَعَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ٣٨
And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with Allāh. That is from the favor of Allāh upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

Unë ndjek fenë e etërve të mi: Ibrahimit, Is’hakut dhe Jakubit. -Pastaj, Jusufi u shpjegoi se cila ishte kjo fe, duke thënë:Ne kurrë nuk i kemi bërë shok Allahut. -Nuk mund të ndodhë kurrë që ne t’i bëjmë shirk Allahut të Madhëruar, por e njësojmë gjithmonë Atë, duke e adhuruar si një të vetëm, ashtu sikurse na ka mësuar dhe na ka udhëzuar vetë Ai përmes Shpalljes.Kjo është prej mirësive të shumta të Allahut për ne dhe për njerëzimin në tërësi,... -Kjo është prej mirësisë dhe mëshirës së Allahut, që na ka dalluar mbi të tjerët. Ata që Allahu i Madhëruar i ka udhëzuar në këtë fe janë të dalluar mbi të gjithë njerëzit e tjerë. Nuk ka mirësi më të madhe sesa mirësia e ‘Islamit’, pra, e dorëzimit tërësisht tek Allahu i Madhëruar, sipas fesë së pastër të Tij. Kush e pranon këtë fe dhe nënshtrohet për të jetuar sipas saj, është vërtet i zgjedhur dhe fatlum, sepse i është dhënë mirësia më e madhe nga Allahu i Madhëruar, me të cilën arrin lumturinë në dynja dhe ahiret....por shumica e njerëzve nuk tregojnë mirënjohje për këtë. -Atyre u ofrohet mirësia, bujaria dhe mëshira e Allahut të Madhëruar, u ofrohet udhëzimi i Tij i mrekullueshëm dhe lumturues, e megjithatë, ata nuk e pranojnë, nuk e respektojnë dhe nuk e trajtojnë seriozisht, duke i dhënë hakun që i takon.Këto ajete janë një mësim i vyer për rrugën që duhet të ndjekim kur ftojmë njerëzit në fe. Jusufi vërejti se dy djemtë e burgut e respektonin dhe e vlerësonin si bamirës ndaj tyre. Për këtë arsye, ai u mësoi se kjo vlerë që ata shihnin tek ai ishte thjesht një dhuratë prej Allahut të Lartësuar. Kjo mirësi - u shpjegoi Jusufi - ka disa faktorë. Fillimisht, ajo bazohet në lënien e idhujtarisë dhe pasimin e rrugës së profetëve pararendës të Allahut të Madhëruar. Kjo gjë më bëri që ju të më respektoni dhe më nderoni tani. Nëse edhe ju dëshironi që të respektoheni dhe të jeni bamirës, duhet që të ndiqni të njëjtën rrugë. Pastaj Jusufi i fton haptazi në besimin e pastër monoteist:

12:38

12:39
يَٰصَٰحِبَيِ ٱلسِّجۡنِ ءَأَرۡبَابٞ مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ خَيۡرٌ أَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ ٣٩
O [my] two companions of prison, are separate lords better or Allāh, the One,1 the Prevailing?2
12:40
مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَسۡمَآءٗ سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلۡطَٰنٍۚ إِنِ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٤٠
You worship not besides Him except [mere] names you have named them,1 you and your fathers, for which Allāh has sent down no evidence. Legislation is not but for Allāh. He has commanded that you worship not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

12:41
يَٰصَٰحِبَيِ ٱلسِّجۡنِ أَمَّآ أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسۡقِي رَبَّهُۥ خَمۡرٗاۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلۡأٓخَرُ فَيُصۡلَبُ فَتَأۡكُلُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ مِن رَّأۡسِهِۦۚ قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ تَسۡتَفۡتِيَانِ ٤١
O two companions of prison, as for one of you, he will give drink to his master of wine; but as for the other, he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. The matter has been decreed about which you both inquire."
12:42
وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُۥ نَاجٖ مِّنۡهُمَا ٱذۡكُرۡنِي عِندَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنسَىٰهُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ ذِكۡرَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِي ٱلسِّجۡنِ بِضۡعَ سِنِينَ ٤٢
And he said to the one whom he knew would go free, "Mention me before your master." But Satan made him forget the mention [to] his master, and he [i.e., Joseph] remained in prison several years.
12:43
وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ سَبۡعَ بَقَرَٰتٖ سِمَانٖ يَأۡكُلُهُنَّ سَبۡعٌ عِجَافٞ وَسَبۡعَ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضۡرٖ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٖۖ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَأُ أَفۡتُونِي فِي رُءۡيَٰيَ إِن كُنتُمۡ لِلرُّءۡيَا تَعۡبُرُونَ ٤٣
And [subsequently] the king said, "Indeed, I have seen [in a dream] seven fat cows being eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry. O eminent ones, explain to me my vision, if you should interpret visions."
