وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ وَهُمۡ يَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ مِثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡۚ فَٱللَّهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ ١١٣
The Jews say, "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus do those who know not [i.e., the polytheists] speak the same as their words. But Allāh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

Commentary on 2:113
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف عطف، ﴿قَالَتِ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة قول، غائب، مؤنث، مفرد.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿يَهُودُ﴾ علم، من مادّة هود، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿لَيْسَتِ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة ليس، غائب، مؤنث، مفرد.
• ﴿ٱل﴾، ﴿نَّصَٰرَىٰ﴾ علم، من مادّة نصر، جمع.
• ﴿عَلَىٰ﴾ حرف جر.
• ﴿شَىْءٍ﴾ اسم، من مادّة شيأ، مذكر، نكرة، مجرور.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف عطف، ﴿قَالَتِ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة قول، غائب، مؤنث، مفرد.
• ﴿ٱل﴾، ﴿نَّصَٰرَىٰ﴾ علم، من مادّة نصر، جمع.
• ﴿لَيْسَتِ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة ليس، غائب، مؤنث، مفرد.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿يَهُودُ﴾ علم، من مادّة هود، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿عَلَىٰ﴾ حرف جر.
• ﴿شَىْءٍ﴾ اسم، من مادّة شيأ، مذكر، نكرة، مجرور.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف حال، ﴿هُمْ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿يَتْلُ﴾ فعل مضارع من الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة تلو، غائب، مذكر، جمع، مرفوع، ﴿ونَ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿كِتَٰبَ﴾ اسم، من مادّة كتب، مذكر، منصوب.
• ﴿كَ﴾ حرف جر، ﴿ذَٰ﴾ اسم اشارة، مذكر، مفرد، ﴿لِ﴾ لام البعد، ﴿كَ﴾ حرف خطاب، مذكر.
• ﴿قَالَ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة قول، غائب، مذكر، مفرد.

• ﴿قَوْلِ﴾ مصدر الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة قول، مذكر، مجرور، ﴿هِمْ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿فَ﴾ حرف استئنافية، ﴿ٱللَّهُ﴾ علم، من مادّة أله.
• ﴿يَحْكُمُ﴾ فعل مضارع من الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة حكم، غائب، مذكر، مفرد، مرفوع.
• ﴿بَيْنَ﴾ ظرف مكان، من مادّة بين، ﴿هُمْ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿يَوْمَ﴾ ظرف زمان، من مادّة يوم، مذكر.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿قِيَٰمَةِ﴾ اسم، من مادّة قوم، مؤنث، مجرور.
• ﴿فِي﴾ حرف جر، ﴿مَا﴾ اسم موصول.
• ﴿كَانُ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة كون، غائب، مذكر، جمع، ﴿وا۟﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿فِي﴾ حرف جر، ﴿هِ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، مفرد.
• ﴿يَخْتَلِفُ﴾ فعل مضارع من مزيد الخماسي باب (افْتَعَلَ)، من مادّة خلف، غائب، مذكر، جمع، مرفوع، ﴿ونَ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.

2:113
وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ لَيۡسَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ وَهُمۡ يَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ مِثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡۚ فَٱللَّهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ ١١٣
The Jews say, "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. 2:114
وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذۡكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسۡمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِي خَرَابِهَآۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمۡ أَن يَدۡخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَۚ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ ١١٤
And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allāh from being mentioned [i.e., praised] in His mosques and strive toward their destruction. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and they will have in the Hereafter a great punishment.
2:115
وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُۚ فَأَيۡنَمَا تُوَلُّواْ فَثَمَّ وَجۡهُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٞ ١١٥
And to Allāh belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face1 of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

2:116
وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗاۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ كُلّٞ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ ١١٦
They say, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He!1 Rather, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are devoutly obedient to Him,

2:117
بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ ١١٧
Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
2:118
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ لَوۡلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا ٱللَّهُ أَوۡ تَأۡتِينَآ ءَايَةٞۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡۘ تَشَٰبَهَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يُوقِنُونَ ١١٨
Those who do not know say, "Why does Allāh not speak to us or there come to us a sign?" Thus spoke those before them like their words. Their hearts resemble each other. We have shown clearly the signs to a people who are certain [in faith].
2:119
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ بَشِيرٗا وَنَذِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تُسۡـَٔلُ عَنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ١١٩
Indeed, We have sent you, [O Muḥammad], with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner, and you will not be asked about the companions of Hellfire.
