Al-Baqarah 2:28

كَيۡفَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَكُنتُمۡ أَمۡوَٰتٗا فَأَحۡيَٰكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ٢٨
How can you disbelieve in Allāh when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.

Commentary on 2:28
کیسے کفر کرتے ہو تم ساتھ اللہ کے؟حالانکہ تھے تم مردے، پس زندہ کیا اس نے تمھیں، پھر وہی موت دے گا تمھیں، پھر وہی زندہ کرے گا تمھیں، پھر اسی کی طرف تم لوٹائے جاؤ گے(28)
[28] اس آیت میں استفہام تعجب، زجر و توبیخ اور انکار کے معنی میں ہے۔ یعنی تم کیسے اللہ تعالیٰ کا انکار کرتے ہو جو تمھیں عدم میں سے وجود میں لایا اور اس نے تمھیں انواع و اقسام کی نعمتوں سے نوازا پھر وہ تمھارا وقت پورا ہونے پر تمھیں موت دے گا اور قبروں کے اندر تمھیں جزا دے گا پھر قیامت کے برپا ہونے پر تمھیں دوبارہ زندہ کرے گا۔ پھر تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے اور وہ تمھیں تمھارے اعمال کا پورا پورا بدلہ دے گا۔ پس جب تم اللہ تعالیٰ کے تصرف میں ہو، اس کی تدبیر اور اس کے احسان کے تحت زندگی بسر کر رہے ہو، اور تم (پہلے) اس کے احکام دینیہ اور اس کے بعد (آخرت میں) اس کے قانونِ جزا و سزا کے تحت آتے ہو۔ تب کیا تمھیں یہ لائق ہے کہ تم اس کا انکار کرو؟ کیا تمھارا یہ رویہ ایک بڑی جہالت اور ایک بڑی حماقت کے سوا کچھ اور ہے؟ اس کے برعکس تمھارے لیے مناسب تو یہ تھا کہ تم اس سے ڈرتے، اس کا شکر ادا کرتے، اس پر ایمان لاتے، اس کے عذاب سے خوف کھاتے اور اس کے ثواب کی امید رکھتے۔

2:25
وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖ كُلَّمَا رُزِقُواْ مِنۡهَا مِن ثَمَرَةٖ رِّزۡقٗا قَالُواْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي رُزِقۡنَا مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَأُتُواْ بِهِۦ مُتَشَٰبِهٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِيهَآ أَزۡوَٰجٞ مُّطَهَّرَةٞۖ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ٢٥
And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.
2:26
۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَسۡتَحۡيِۦٓ أَن يَضۡرِبَ مَثَلٗا مَّا بَعُوضَةٗ فَمَا فَوۡقَهَاۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فَيَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلٗاۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗا وَيَهۡدِي بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗاۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ٢٦
Indeed, Allāh is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller1 than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allāh intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

2:27
ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ ٢٧
Who break the covenant of Allāh after contracting it and sever that which Allāh has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.
2:28
كَيۡفَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَكُنتُمۡ أَمۡوَٰتٗا فَأَحۡيَٰكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ٢٨
How can you disbelieve in Allāh when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.
2:29
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَسَوَّىٰهُنَّ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ ٢٩
It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself1 to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.
