بَلَىٰۚ مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةٗ وَأَحَٰطَتۡ بِهِۦ خَطِيٓـَٔتُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ٨١
Yes, [on the contrary], whoever earns evil and his sin has encompassed him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

Commentary on 2:81
٨١ -﴿بَلَىٰۚ﴾ أي: تمسكم النار وتخلدون فيها، فليس الأمر كما تمنيتم واشتهيتم وزعمتم. و(بلى) حرف جواب ك«نعم» و«أجل»، إلا أنها لا تقع جواباً إلا لنفي متقدم، إبطالاً ونقضاً وإيجاباً له، سواء دخله استفهام أم لا، كنحو: ما قام زيد؟ تقول: بلى، أي: قد قام، ونحو: أليس زيد قائماً؟ تقول: بلى، أي: هو قائم، ومنه قوله تعالى: (ألست بربكم قالوا بلى)الأعراف(١٧٢)، أي: أنت ربنا، ولو قالوا: نعم لكفروا. ﴿مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةٗ﴾ أي: بل الأمر أنه من عمل سيئة، وهي الكفر أو الشرك، ولم يتب منها .و(سيئة): نكرة في سياق الشرط فتعم الشرك وما دونه.﴿وَأَحَٰطَتۡ بِهِۦ خَطِيٓـَٔتُهُۥ﴾ [وفي قراءة: بالجمع (خطيئاته)] أي: أحدق به كفره أو استولى عليه شركه فلم يدع له منفذاً وأحاط بما له من حسنة فمات عليها قبل الإنابة والتوبة.﴿فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ ﴾ أي: من أهل النار ﴿هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ﴾ أي: مقيمون فيها بلا انقطاع. وفي الحديث عن عبد الله بن مسعود، أن رسول الله ﷺ قال:«إياكم ومحقرات الذنوب، فإنهن يجتمعن على الرجل حتى يهلكنه». وقد احتج الخوارج على كفر صاحب المعصية بهذه الآية ، وهي حجة عليهم، فإن الآية ظاهرة في الشرك أو الكفر.

2:77
أَوَلَا يَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ ٧٧
But do they not know that Allāh knows what they conceal and what they declare?
2:78
وَمِنۡهُمۡ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّآ أَمَانِيَّ وَإِنۡ هُمۡ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ ٧٨
And among them are unlettered ones who do not know the Scripture except [indulgement in] wishful thinking, but they are only assuming.
2:79
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكۡتُبُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِأَيۡدِيهِمۡ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَٰذَا مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَشۡتَرُواْ بِهِۦ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلٗاۖ فَوَيۡلٞ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَوَيۡلٞ لَّهُم مِّمَّا يَكۡسِبُونَ ٧٩
So woe1 to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allāh," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.

2:80
وَقَالُواْ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامٗا مَّعۡدُودَةٗۚ قُلۡ أَتَّخَذۡتُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهۡدٗا فَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهۡدَهُۥٓۖ أَمۡ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ٨٠
And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for [a few] numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allāh? For Allāh will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?"
2:81

2:82
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ٨٢
But they who believe and do righteous deeds - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.
2:83
وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ لَا تَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ إِحۡسَانٗا وَذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَقُولُواْ لِلنَّاسِ حُسۡنٗا وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنكُمۡ وَأَنتُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ٨٣
And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allāh; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakāh." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.
