Al-Hajj 22:72

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱلۡمُنكَرَۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسۡطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتۡلُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَاۗ قُلۡ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرّٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُۚ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ٧٢
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that?1 [It is] the Fire which Allāh has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."

Commentary on 22:72
﴿وَإِذا﴾ الواو عاطفة وإذا ظرف يتضمن معنى الشرط ﴿تُتْلى﴾ مضارع مبني للمجهول والجملة مضاف إليه ﴿عَلَيْهِمْ﴾ متعلقان بتتلى ﴿آياتُنا﴾ نائب فاعل ونا مضاف إليه ﴿بَيِّناتٍ﴾ حال من آياتنا منصوبة بالكسرة لأنها جمع مؤنث سالم ﴿تَعْرِفُ﴾ مضارع فاعله مستتر والجملة لا محل لها لأنها جواب شرط غير جازم ﴿فِي وُجُوهِ﴾ متعلقان بتعرف ﴿الَّذِينَ﴾ اسم موصول في محل جر مضاف إليه ﴿كَفَرُوا﴾ ماض وفاعله والجملة صلة ﴿الْمُنْكَرَ﴾ مفعول به ﴿يَكادُونَ﴾ مضارع ناقص والواو اسمها والجملة حالية ﴿يَسْطُونَ﴾ مضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعل والجملة خبر يكادون ﴿بِالَّذِينَ﴾ الذين اسم موصول متعلقان بيسطون ﴿يَتْلُونَ﴾ مضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعل والجملة صلة ﴿عَلَيْهِمْ﴾ متعلقان بيتلون ﴿آياتُنا﴾ مفعول به ونا مضاف إليه ﴿قُلْ﴾ أمر فاعله مستتر والجملة استئنافية ﴿أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ﴾ الهمزة حرف استفهام ومضارع ومفعول به والميم للجمع وفاعله مستتر والجملة مقول القول ﴿بِشَرٍّ﴾ متعلقان بأنبئكم ﴿مِنْ ذلِكُمُ﴾ متعلقان بشر وذا اسم إشارة واللام للبعد والكاف للخطاب والميم للجمع ﴿النَّارُ﴾ مبتدأ ﴿وَعَدَهَا﴾ ماض ومفعول به أول ﴿اللَّهُ﴾ لفظ الجلالة فاعل مؤخر والجملة خبر ﴿الَّذِينَ﴾ اسم موصول في محل نصب مفعول به ثان ﴿كَفَرُوا﴾ ماض وفاعله والجملة صلة ﴿وَبِئْسَ﴾ الواو استئنافية وبئس ماض لإنشاء الذم ﴿الْمَصِيرُ﴾ فاعل والجملة مستأنفة.

22:65
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِي فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَيُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ ٦٥
Do you not see that Allāh has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allāh, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.
22:66
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَحۡيَاكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٞ ٦٦
And He is the one who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful.
22:67
لِّكُلِّ أُمَّةٖ جَعَلۡنَا مَنسَكًا هُمۡ نَاسِكُوهُۖ فَلَا يُنَٰزِعُنَّكَ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۚ وَٱدۡعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَۖ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدٗى مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ ٦٧
For every [religious] community We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muḥammad], let them [i.e., the disbelievers] not contend with you over the matter but invite [them] to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
22:68
وَإِن جَٰدَلُوكَ فَقُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ٦٨
And if they dispute with you, then say, "Allāh is most knowing of what you do.
22:69
ٱللَّهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ ٦٩
Allāh will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which you used to differ."
22:70
أَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِي كِتَٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ ٧٠
Do you not know that Allāh knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record.1 Indeed that, for Allāh, is easy.

22:71
وَيَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَٰنٗا وَمَا لَيۡسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞۗ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٖ ٧١
And they worship besides Allāh that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.
22:72
