Al-Furqan 25:71

وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابٗا ٧١
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allāh with [accepted] repentance.

Commentary on 25:71
قوله تعالى : ومن تاب وعمل صالحا فإنه يتوب إلى الله متاباقوله تعالى : ومن تاب وعمل صالحا فإنه يتوب إلى الله متابا [ ص: 76 ] لا يقال : من قام فإنه يقوم ; فكيف قال من تاب فإنه يتوب ؟ فقال ابن عباس : المعنى من آمن من أهل مكة وهاجر ولم يكن قتل وزنى بل عمل صالحا وأدى الفرائض فإنه يتوب إلى الله متابا ; أي فإني قدمتهم وفضلتهم على من قاتل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم واستحل المحارم . وقال القفال : يحتمل أن تكون الآية الأولى فيمن تاب من المشركين ، ولهذا قال : إلا من تاب وآمن ثم عطف عليه من تاب من المسلمين وأتبع توبته عملا صالحا فله حكم التائبين أيضا . وقيل : أي من تاب بلسانه ولم يحقق ذلك بفعله ، فليست تلك التوبة نافعة ; بل من تاب وعمل صالحا فحقق توبته بالأعمال الصالحة فهو الذي تاب إلى الله متابا ، أي تاب حق التوبة وهي النصوح ولذا أكد بالمصدر . ف " متابا " مصدر معناه التأكيد ، كقوله : وكلم الله موسى تكليما أي فإنه يتوب إلى الله حقا فيقبل الله توبته حقا .

25:68
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدۡعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِي حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَزۡنُونَۚ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ يَلۡقَ أَثَامٗا ٦٨
And those who do not invoke1 with Allāh another deity or kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

25:69
يُضَٰعَفۡ لَهُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخۡلُدۡ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا ٦٩
Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
25:70
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ حَسَنَٰتٖۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا ٧٠
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allāh will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
25:71
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابٗا ٧١
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allāh with [accepted] repentance.
25:72
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشۡهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِٱللَّغۡوِ مَرُّواْ كِرَامٗا ٧٢
And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.
25:73
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ لَمۡ يَخِرُّواْ عَلَيۡهَا صُمّٗا وَعُمۡيَانٗا ٧٣
And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.
25:74
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٖ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا ٧٤
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes1 and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."

25:75
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُجۡزَوۡنَ ٱلۡغُرۡفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْ وَيُلَقَّوۡنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةٗ وَسَلَٰمًا ٧٥
Those will be awarded the Chamber1 for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace,

25:76
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ حَسُنَتۡ مُسۡتَقَرّٗا وَمُقَامٗا ٧٦
Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.
25:77
قُلۡ مَا يَعۡبَؤُاْ بِكُمۡ رَبِّي لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُكُمۡۖ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبۡتُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامَۢا ٧٧
Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?"1 For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.2
