أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٖ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ يَعۡدِلُونَ ٦٠
[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allāh?1 [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

Commentary on 27:60
(یہ بت بہتر ہیں ) یا وہ (اللہ) جس نے پیدا کیا آسمانوں اور زمین کواور اتارا تمھارے لیے آسمان سے پانی، پس اگائے ہم نے اس سے باغات پر رونق؟ نہیں تھی (قدرت) تمھیں یہ کہ اگاتے تم ان کے درخت، کیا ہے کوئی (اور) معبود ساتھ اللہ کے ؟بلکہ (یہ) وہ لوگ ہیں جو (اللہ کے ) برابر(ہمسر) ٹھہراتے ہیں (60)
[60] اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان تمام تفاصیل کا ذکر کیا ہے جن سے صاف واضح ہو جاتا ہے کہ وہی الٰہ معبود ہے، صرف اسی کی عبادت حق اور اس کے سوا دوسروں کی عبادت باطل ہے، چنانچہ فرمایا:یعنی، بھلا وہ کون ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو اور ان کے اندر سورج، چاند، ستاروں اورفرشتوں کو، نیز زمین کو اور اس کے اندر پہاڑوں ، سمندروں ، دریاؤں اور درختوں وغیرہ کو پیدا کیا؟﴿وَاَنۡزَلَ لَكُمۡ ﴾ ’’اور نازل کیا تمھارے لیے‘‘ یعنی تمھاری خاطر ﴿ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً١ۚ فَاَنۢۡبـَتۡنَا بِهٖ حَدَآىِٕقَ ﴾ ’’آسمان سے پانی، پھر ہم ہی نے اس سے باغات اگائے۔‘‘ ﴿ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٍ﴾ ’’رونق والے۔‘‘ یعنی وہ درختوں کی کثرت، ان کے تنوع اور اچھے پھلوں کی وجہ سے خوبصورت منظر پیش کرتے ہیں ۔ ﴿ مَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ اَنۡ تُنۢۡبِتُوۡا شَجَرَهَا﴾ اگر بارش نازل کر کے تم پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے احسان نہ کیا ہوتا تو تم ان درختوں کو کبھی اگانہ سکتے۔ ﴿ ءَاِلٰهٌ مَّعَ اللّٰهِ ﴾ ’’کیا اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے‘‘ جو یہ افعال سرانجام دیتا ہو اور اس بنا پر اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ اس کی بھی عبادت کی جائے؟ ﴿ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ يَّعۡدِلُوۡنَ﴾ ’’بلکہ یہ لوگ (تو اللہ تعالیٰ کے) ہمسر ٹھہراتے ہیں ۔‘‘ اس حقیقت کا علم رکھنے کے باوجود کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اکیلا عالم علوی اور عالم سفلی کا خالق اور رزق نازل کرنے والا ہے، وہ غیر اللہ کو اللہ تعالیٰ کا شریک بناتے ہیں ۔

27:56
۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخۡرِجُوٓاْ ءَالَ لُوطٖ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسٞ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ ٥٦
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."
27:57
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ٥٧
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.
27:58
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرٗاۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ ٥٨
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
27:59
قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ أَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٥٩
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Praise be to Allāh, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allāh better or what they associate with Him?"
27:60

27:61
أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارٗا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنۡهَٰرٗا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٦١
Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allāh? [No], but most of them do not know.
27:62
أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجۡعَلُكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢
Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth?1 Is there a deity with Allāh? Little do you remember.

27:63
أَمَّن يَهۡدِيكُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن يُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦٓۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٦٣
Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allāh? High is Allāh above whatever they associate with Him.
