وَأَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهۡتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنّٞ وَلَّىٰ مُدۡبِرٗا وَلَمۡ يُعَقِّبۡۚ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَقۡبِلۡ وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓمِنِينَ ٣١
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return.1 [Allāh said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.

القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّى مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ يَا مُوسَى أَقْبِلْ وَلا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الآمِنِينَ (31)
يقول تعالى ذكره: نودي موسى: أَنْ يَا مُوسَى إِنِّي أَنَا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ * وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فألقاها موسى, فصارت حية تسعى.
( فَلَمَّا رَآهَا ) موسى ( تَهْتَزُّ )يقول: تتحرك وتضطرب ( كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ ) والجانّ واحد الجِنّان, وهي نوع معروف من أنواع الحيات, وهي منها عظام. ومعنى الكلام: كأنها جانّ من الحيات ( وَلَّى مُدْبِرًا ) يقول: ولى موسى هاربا منها.
كما حدثنا بشر, قال: ثنا يزيد, قال: ثنا سعيد, عن قَتادة ( وَلَّى مُدْبِرًا ) فارا منها، ( وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ) يقول: ولم يرجع على عقبه.
وقد ذكرنا الرواية في ذلك, وما قاله أهل التأويل فيما مضى, فكرهنا إعادته, غير أنا نذكر في ذلك بعض ما لم نذكره هنالك.
حدثنا بشر, قال: ثنا يزيد, قال: ثنا سعيد, عن قَتادة ( وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ) يقول: ولم يعقب, أي لم يلتفت من الفرق.
حدثنا موسى, قال: ثنا عمرو, قال: ثنا أسباط, عن السدي ( وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ) يقول: لم ينتظر.
وقوله: ( يَا مُوسَى أَقْبِلْ وَلا تَخَفْ ) يقول تعالى ذكره: فنودي موسى: يا موسى أقبل إليّ ولا تخف من الذي تهرب منه ( إِنَّكَ مِنَ الآمِنِينَ ) من أن يضرّك, إنما هو عصاك.

28:29
۞ فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلۡأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهۡلِهِۦٓ ءَانَسَ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ نَارٗاۖ قَالَ لِأَهۡلِهِ ٱمۡكُثُوٓاْ إِنِّيٓ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارٗا لَّعَلِّيٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوۡ جَذۡوَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُونَ ٢٩
And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves."
28:30
فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِيَ مِن شَٰطِيِٕ ٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡأَيۡمَنِ فِي ٱلۡبُقۡعَةِ ٱلۡمُبَٰرَكَةِ مِنَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ أَن يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٣٠
But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree,1 "O Moses, indeed I am Allāh, Lord of the worlds."

28:31

28:32
ٱسۡلُكۡ يَدَكَ فِي جَيۡبِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَيۡضَآءَ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ سُوٓءٖ وَٱضۡمُمۡ إِلَيۡكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ ٱلرَّهۡبِۖ فَذَٰنِكَ بُرۡهَٰنَانِ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ ٣٢
Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."
28:33
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلۡتُ مِنۡهُمۡ نَفۡسٗا فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقۡتُلُونِ ٣٣
He said, "My Lord, indeed I killed from among them someone, and I fear they will kill me.
28:34
وَأَخِي هَٰرُونُ هُوَ أَفۡصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانٗا فَأَرۡسِلۡهُ مَعِيَ رِدۡءٗا يُصَدِّقُنِيٓۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ ٣٤
And my brother Aaron is more fluent than me in tongue, so send him with me as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me."
28:35
قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجۡعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلۡطَٰنٗا فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيۡكُمَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۚ أَنتُمَا وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ ٣٥
[Allāh] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."
