وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَيۡءٖ فَمَتَٰعُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَزِينَتُهَاۚ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ٦٠

And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allāh is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?

Commentary on 28:60

Çdo gjë që ju është dhënë është veçse kënaqësi e jetës së kësaj bote dhe stoli e saj; -Allahu i Lartësuar i nxit robërit e Tij për të qenë asketë në jetën e kësaj bote dhe i porosit që të mos mashtrohen nga ajo dhe të jenë shumë të kujdesshëm. Ai inkurajon ata që të lidhen fort me ahiretin dhe ta bëjnë atë qëllimin parësor. Për t’i përforcuar këto porosi, Ai i njofton krijesat se të gjitha stolitë e kënaqësitë e kësaj bote si, ari e argjendi, gratë e fëmijët, ushqimet e pijet e këndshme, kafshët, bagëtitë e bujqësia janë të përkohshme, shumë të mangëta dhe të rrethuara me vështirësi, sfida e pengesa të vazhdueshme. Njeriu mund t’i ketë ato mirësi një kohë të shkurtër, duke synuar të duket dhe të lëvdohet ndër njerëz, por shumë shpejt ato largohen dhe faniten. Ato përfundojnë dhe zotëruesi i tyre nuk përfiton asgjë, përveçse dëshpërimin, trishtimin dhe privimin....kurse ajo që ju pret tek Allahu është shumë më e mirë dhe e përhershme. -Mirësitë e përjetshme dhe jeta në paqe e kënaqësi tek Zoti janë shumë më të mira, si në masë, ashtu edhe në cilësi. Gjithashtu, ato do të vazhdojnë përgjithmonë dhe në përmirësim të vazhdueshëm.A nuk e mendoni, atëherë? - A nuk keni logjikë, që të peshoni çështjet ashtu siç duhet? Cila nga dy botët është më e meritueshme për t’i dhënë përparësi? Cila botë meriton më së shumti për të punuar për të dhe për të fituar lumturinë? Në varësi të logjikës së robit do të jetë edhe gjykimi i drejtë në këtë çështje. Kush i ka dhënë përparësi dynjasë e ka bërë veçse për shkak të mangësisë në logjikën e tij dhe mendjelehtësisë. Vëreni me kujdes se si në fund Zoti na bën të mendojmë për fundin e secilit grup, atyre që preferojnë dynjanë dhe atyre që preferojnë ahiretin. Ai thotë:

28:60

And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allāh is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?

28:61

أَفَمَن وَعَدۡنَٰهُ وَعۡدًا حَسَنٗا فَهُوَ لَٰقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُ مَتَٰعَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ ٦١

Then is he whom We have promised a good promise which he will meet [i.e., obtain] like he for whom We provided enjoyment of worldly life [but] then he is, on the Day of Resurrection, among those presented [for punishment in Hell]?

28:62

وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيهِمۡ فَيَقُولُ أَيۡنَ شُرَكَآءِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُونَ ٦٢

And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim?"

28:63

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغۡوَيۡنَآ أَغۡوَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كَمَا غَوَيۡنَاۖ تَبَرَّأۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَۖ مَا كَانُوٓاْ إِيَّانَا يَعۡبُدُونَ ٦٣

Those upon whom the word¹ will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship [i.e., obey] us."²

28:64

وَقِيلَ ٱدۡعُواْ شُرَكَآءَكُمۡ فَدَعَوۡهُمۡ فَلَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَهُمۡ وَرَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۚ لَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ يَهۡتَدُونَ ٦٤

And it will be said, "Invoke your 'partners,'" and they will invoke them; but they will not respond to them, and they will see the punishment. If only they had followed guidance!

28:65

وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيهِمۡ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبۡتُمُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ٦٥

And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?"

28:66

فَعَمِيَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فَهُمۡ لَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ٦٦

But the information¹ will be unapparent to them that Day, so they will not [be able to] ask one another.
