وَرَبُّكَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمۡ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ ٦٩
And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.

Commentary on 28:68–70
"Dan Rabbmu menciptakan sesuatu yang Dia kehendaki dan memilihnya. Sekali-kali tidak ada pilihan bagi mereka. Mahasuci Allah dan Mahatinggi dari apa yang mereka persekutukan (de-nganNya). Dan Rabbmu mengetahui sesuatu yang disembunyikan (dalam) dada mereka dan sesuatu yang mereka nyatakan. Dan Dia-lah Allah, tidak ada tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia, bagiNya-lah segala puji di dunia dan akhirat, dan bagiNya-lah segala penentuan, dan hanya kepadaNya-lah kamu dikembalikan." (Al-Qashash: 68-70).
(68-70) Ayat-ayat ini mengandung penjelasan tentang cakupan penciptaan Allah سبحانه وتعالى terhadap seluruh makhluk, kehendak-Nya berlaku bagi semua ciptaan, kewenanganNya memilih dan mengistimewakan siapa saja dari manusia dengan perintah, waktu, dan tempat. Sedangkan manusia, siapa pun dia, sama sekali tidak memiliki perintah dan kewenangan memilih; dan bahwa Allah سبحانه وتعالى suci dari semua yang mereka persekutukan kepadaNya, berupa sekutu, tandingan, pembantu, anak, istri dan lainnya dari apa saja yang dipersekutukan kepadaNya oleh kaum musyrikin; dan bahwa sesungguhnya Dia yang mengetahui sesuatu yang disembunyikan oleh hati manusia dan apa saja yang mereka tampakkan; dan bahwa Dia semata sembahan yang terpuji di dunia dan akhirat karena sifat-sifat keagungan dan keindahan yang dimilikiNya, dan karena Dia-lah yang telah menganugerahkan kebaikan dan karunia kepada manusia; dan bahwa Dia-lah hakim di dunia dan di akhirat: di dunia dengan ketentuan qadari (takdir) yang jejaknya adalah seluruh apa yang telah Dia ciptakan; dan hukum agama yang jejaknya adalah seluruh syariat, perintah dan laranganNya. Dan di akhirat Dia-lah yang memberikan keputusan dengan ketentuanNya yang bersifat qadari dan jaza`i (pembalasan). Maka dari itu, Dia berfirman, ﴾ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ﴿ "Hanya kepadaNya-lah kamu dikembalikan." Maka, kelak Dia akan memberikan pembalasan masing-masing kalian sesuai dengan perbuatannya, berupa amal yang baik dan yang buruk.

28:60
وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَيۡءٖ فَمَتَٰعُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَزِينَتُهَاۚ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ٦٠
And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allāh is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
28:61
أَفَمَن وَعَدۡنَٰهُ وَعۡدًا حَسَنٗا فَهُوَ لَٰقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُ مَتَٰعَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ ٦١
Then is he whom We have promised a good promise which he will meet [i.e., obtain] like he for whom We provided enjoyment of worldly life [but] then he is, on the Day of Resurrection, among those presented [for punishment in Hell]?
28:62
وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيهِمۡ فَيَقُولُ أَيۡنَ شُرَكَآءِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُونَ ٦٢
And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim?"
28:63
قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغۡوَيۡنَآ أَغۡوَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كَمَا غَوَيۡنَاۖ تَبَرَّأۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَۖ مَا كَانُوٓاْ إِيَّانَا يَعۡبُدُونَ ٦٣
Those upon whom the word1 will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship [i.e., obey] us."2
28:64
وَقِيلَ ٱدۡعُواْ شُرَكَآءَكُمۡ فَدَعَوۡهُمۡ فَلَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَهُمۡ وَرَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۚ لَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ يَهۡتَدُونَ ٦٤
And it will be said, "Invoke your 'partners,'" and they will invoke them; but they will not respond to them, and they will see the punishment. If only they had followed guidance!
28:65
وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيهِمۡ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبۡتُمُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ٦٥
And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?"
28:66
فَعَمِيَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فَهُمۡ لَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ٦٦
But the information1 will be unapparent to them that Day, so they will not [be able to] ask one another.

28:67
فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحِينَ ٦٧
But as for one who had repented, believed, and done righteousness, it is expected [i.e., promised by Allāh] that he will be among the successful.
28:68
وَرَبُّكَ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيَخۡتَارُۗ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡخِيَرَةُۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٦٨
And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allāh and high above what they associate with Him.
28:69
وَرَبُّكَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمۡ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ ٦٩
And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.
28:70
وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ لَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِي ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ٧٠
And He is Allāh; there is no deity except Him. To Him is [due all] praise in the first [life] and the Hereafter. And His is the [final] decision, and to Him you will be returned.
