كَدَأۡبِ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ١١
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allāh seized them for their sins. And Allāh is severe in penalty.

اَلْقَوْلُ في تَأْوِيلِ قَوْلِهِ تَعالى:
[ ١١ ] ﴿كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ والَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآياتِنا فَأخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ واللَّهُ شَدِيدُ العِقابِ﴾
﴿كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ﴾ خَبَرُ مُبْتَدَأٍ مَحْذُوفٍ، أيْ: دَأْبُ هَؤُلاءِ في الكُفْرِ كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ. والدَّأْبُ (بِالسُّكُونِ، ويُحَرَّكُ) مَصْدَرُ دَأبَ في العَمَلِ إذا كَدَحَ فِيهِ، فَوُضِعَ مَوْضِعَ ما عَلَيْهِ الإنْسانُ مِن شَأْنِهِ وحالِهِ، مَجازًا، يُقالُ: هَذا دَأْبُكَ أيْ: شَأْنُكَ وعَمَلُكَ. قالالأزْهَرِيُّ: عَنْ الزَّجّاجِ في هَذِهِ الآيَةِ: أيْ: كَأمْرِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ، كَذا قالَ أهْلُ اللُّغَةِ، قالَ الأزْهَرِيُّ: والقَوْلُ عِنْدِي فِيهِ - واَللَّهُ أعْلَمُ - أنَّ دَأْبَهم هُنا اجْتِهادُهم في كُفْرِهِمْ وتَظاهُرِهِمْ عَلى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَتَظاهُرِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلى مُوسى عَلَيْهِ الصَّلاةُ والسَّلامُ. يُقالُ: دَأبْتُ أدْأبُ دَأْبًا ودَؤُوبًا إذا اجْتَهَدْتُ في الشَّيْءِ - انْتَهى - قالَ أبُو البَقاءِ: وفي ذَلِكَ تَخْوِيفٌ لَهم لِعِلْمِهِمْ بِما حَلَّ بِآلِ فِرْعَوْنَ: ﴿والَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ﴾ أيْ: مِن قَبْلِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ مِنَ الأُمَمِ الكافِرَةِ، فالمَوْصُولُ في مَحَلِّ جَرٍّ عَطْفٌ عَلى ما قَبْلُهُ: ﴿كَذَّبُوا بِآياتِنا﴾ بَيانٌ وتَفْسِيرٌ لِدَأْبِهِمْ الَّذِي فَعَلُوا عَلى طَرِيقَةِ الِاسْتِئْنافِ المَبْنِيِّ عَلى السُّؤالِ المُقَدَّرِ: ﴿فَأخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ﴾ أيْ: عاقَبَهم وأهْلَكَهم بِسَبَبِها ﴿واللَّهُ شَدِيدُ العِقابِ﴾ أيْ: الأخْذُ بِالذَّنْبِ. فِيهِ تَهْوِيلٌ لِلْمُؤاخَذَةِ وزِيادَةُ تَخْوِيفٍ لِلْكَفَرَةِ.

3:10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغۡنِيَ عَنۡهُمۡ أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ ١٠
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allāh at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire.
3:11
كَدَأۡبِ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ١١

3:12
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَتُغۡلَبُونَ وَتُحۡشَرُونَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ ١٢
Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place."
3:13
قَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٞ فِي فِئَتَيۡنِ ٱلۡتَقَتَاۖ فِئَةٞ تُقَٰتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخۡرَىٰ كَافِرَةٞ يَرَوۡنَهُم مِّثۡلَيۡهِمۡ رَأۡيَ ٱلۡعَيۡنِۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ ١٣
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met [in combat at Badr] - one fighting in the cause of Allāh and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight.1 But Allāh supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

- The believers saw the disbelievers to be double their own number preceding the battle of Badr, while, in fact, they were three times their number. ↩
3:14
زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلۡبَنِينَ وَٱلۡقَنَٰطِيرِ ٱلۡمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلۡفِضَّةِ وَٱلۡخَيۡلِ ٱلۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ وَٱلۡحَرۡثِۗ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَٰعُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلۡمَـَٔابِ ١٤
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allāh has with Him the best return [i.e., Paradise].
3:15
۞ قُلۡ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم بِخَيۡرٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمۡۖ لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزۡوَٰجٞ مُّطَهَّرَةٞ وَرِضۡوَٰنٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ ١٥
Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allāh will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allāh. And Allāh is Seeing [i.e., aware] of [His] servants -
