Ali 'Imran 3:140

إِن يَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ قَرۡحٞ فَقَدۡ مَسَّ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ قَرۡحٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ وَتِلۡكَ ٱلۡأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمۡ شُهَدَآءَۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٤٠
If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allāh may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allāh does not like the wrongdoers -

Commentary on 3:140
• ﴿إِن﴾ شرطية.
• ﴿يَمْسَسْ﴾ فعل مضارع من الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة مسس، غائب، مذكر، مفرد، مجزوم، ﴿كُمْ﴾ ضمير، مخاطب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿قَرْحٌ﴾ اسم، من مادّة قرح، مذكر، نكرة، مرفوع.
• ﴿فَ﴾ حرف واقع في جواب الشرط، ﴿قَدْ﴾ حرف تحقيق.
• ﴿مَسَّ﴾ فعل ماض ثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة مسس، غائب، مذكر، مفرد.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿قَوْمَ﴾ اسم، من مادّة قوم، مذكر، منصوب.
• ﴿قَرْحٌ﴾ اسم، من مادّة قرح، مذكر، نكرة، مرفوع.
• ﴿مِّثْلُ﴾ اسم، من مادّة مثل، مذكر، مرفوع، ﴿هُۥ﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، مفرد.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف استئنافية، ﴿تِ﴾ اسم اشارة، مؤنث، مفرد، ﴿لْ﴾ لام البعد، ﴿كَ﴾ حرف خطاب، مذكر.
• ﴿ٱلْ﴾، ﴿أَيَّامُ﴾ اسم، من مادّة يوم، مذكر، جمع، مرفوع.
• ﴿نُدَاوِلُ﴾ فعل مضارع من مزيد الرباعي باب (فاعَلَ)، من مادّة دول، متكلم، جمع، مرفوع، ﴿هَا﴾ ضمير، غائب، مؤنث، مفرد.
• ﴿بَيْنَ﴾ ظرف مكان، من مادّة بين.
• ﴿ٱل﴾، ﴿نَّاسِ﴾ اسم، من مادّة أنس، مذكر، جمع، مجرور.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف زائد، ﴿لِ﴾ لام التعليل، ﴿يَعْلَمَ﴾ فعل مضارع من الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة علم، غائب، مذكر، مفرد، منصوب.
• ﴿ٱللَّهُ﴾ علم، من مادّة أله.
• ﴿ٱلَّذِينَ﴾ اسم موصول، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿ءَامَنُ﴾ فعل ماض مزيد الرباعي باب (أَفْعَلَ)، من مادّة أمن، غائب، مذكر، جمع، ﴿وا۟﴾ ضمير، غائب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف عطف، ﴿يَتَّخِذَ﴾ فعل مضارع من مزيد الخماسي باب (افْتَعَلَ)، من مادّة أخذ، غائب، مذكر، مفرد، منصوب.
• ﴿مِن﴾ حرف جر، ﴿كُمْ﴾ ضمير، مخاطب، مذكر، جمع.
• ﴿شُهَدَآءَ﴾ اسم، من مادّة شهد، مذكر، جمع، منصوب.
• ﴿وَ﴾ حرف استئنافية، ﴿ٱللَّهُ﴾ علم، من مادّة أله.
• ﴿لَا﴾ حرف نفي.
• ﴿يُحِبُّ﴾ فعل مضارع من مزيد الرباعي باب (أَفْعَلَ)، من مادّة حبب، غائب، مذكر، مفرد، مرفوع.
• ﴿ٱل﴾، ﴿ظَّٰلِمِينَ﴾ اسم فاعل الثلاثي مجرد، من مادّة ظلم، مذكر، جمع، منصوب.

3:133
۞ وَسَارِعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ ١٣٣
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden [i.e., Paradise] as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
3:134
ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلۡكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلۡغَيۡظَ وَٱلۡعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ١٣٤
Who spend [in the cause of Allāh] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allāh loves the doers of good;
3:135
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةً أَوۡ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ ذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَن يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمۡ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ ١٣٥
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allāh and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allāh? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.
3:136
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَجَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ وَنِعۡمَ أَجۡرُ ٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ ١٣٦
Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.
3:137
قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ سُنَنٞ فَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ١٣٧
Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied.
3:138
هَٰذَا بَيَانٞ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدٗى وَمَوۡعِظَةٞ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ ١٣٨
This [Qur’ān] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allāh.
3:139
وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ ١٣٩
So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.
3:140
