وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآيِٕ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُحۡضَرُونَ ١٦
But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].

Commentary on 30:16
﴿وأمّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وكَذَّبُوا بِآياتِنا﴾ الَّتِي مِن جُمْلَتِها الآياتُ النّاطِقَةُ بِما فُصِّلَ، ﴿ولِقاءِ الآخِرَةِ﴾ أيْ وكَذَّبُوا بِالبَعْثِ، وصَرَّحَ بِذَلِكَ مَعَ انْدِراجِهِ في تَكْذِيبِ الآياتِ لِلِاعْتِناءِ بِهِ، وقَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿فَأُولَئِكَ﴾

إشارَةٌ إلى المَوْصُولِ بِاعْتِبارِ اتِّصافِهِ بِما في حَيِّزِ الصِّلَةِ مِنَ الكُفْرِ والتَّكْذِيبِ بِآياتِهِ تَعالى، وبِلِقاءِ الآخِرَةِ لِلْإيذانِ بِكَمالِ تَمَيُّزِهِمْ بِذَلِكَ عَنْ غَيْرِهِمْ، وانْتِظامِهِمْ في سِلْكِ المُشاهَداتِ، وما فِيهِ مِن مَعْنى البُعْدِ مَعَ قُرْبِ العَهْدِ بِالمُشارِ إلَيْهِ لِلْإشْعارِ بِبُعْدِ مَنزِلَتِهِمْ في الشَّرِّ، أيْ فَأُولَئِكَ المَوْصُوفُونَ بِما ذُكِرَ مِنَ القَبائِحِ ﴿فِي العَذابِ مُحْضَرُونَ﴾ عَلى الدَّوامِ لا يَغِيبُونَ عَنْهُ أبَدًا، والظّاهِرُ أنَّ الفَسَقَةَ مِن أهْلِ الإيمانِ غَيْرُ داخِلِينَ في أحَدِ الفَرِيقَيْنِ، أمّا عَدَمُ دُخُولِهِمْ في الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وكَذَّبُوا بِالآياتِ والبَعْثِ فَظاهِرٌ، وأمّا عَدَمُ دُخُولِهِمْ في الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ فَإمّا لِأنَّ ذَلِكَ لا يُقالُ في العُرْفِ إلّا عَلى المُؤْمِنِينَ المُجْتَنِبِينَ المُفَسِّقاتِ عَلى ما قِيلَ، وإمّا لِأنَّ المُؤْمِنَ الفاسِقَ يَصْدُقُ عَلى المُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَعْمَلْ شَيْئًا مِنَ الصّالِحاتِ أصْلًا، فَهم غَيْرُ داخِلِينَ في ذَلِكَ بِاعْتِبارِ جَمِيعِ الأفْرادِ، وحُكْمُهم مَعْلُومٌ مِن آياتٍ أُخَرَ، فَلا تَغْفُلْ.

30:16
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآيِٕ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُحۡضَرُونَ ١٦
But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].
30:17
فَسُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمۡسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصۡبِحُونَ ١٧
So exalted is Allāh when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning.
30:18
وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَعَشِيّٗا وَحِينَ تُظۡهِرُونَ ١٨
And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.
30:19
يُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ وَيُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَيِّ وَيُحۡيِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخۡرَجُونَ ١٩
He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.1

30:20
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنۡ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٞ تَنتَشِرُونَ ٢٠
And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth].
30:21
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنۡ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا لِّتَسۡكُنُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَكُم مَّوَدَّةٗ وَرَحۡمَةًۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٢١
And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
30:22
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ خَلۡقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱخۡتِلَٰفُ أَلۡسِنَتِكُمۡ وَأَلۡوَٰنِكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡعَٰلِمِينَ ٢٢
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.
30:23
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبۡتِغَآؤُكُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٢٣
And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.
30:24
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلۡبَرۡقَ خَوۡفٗا وَطَمَعٗا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَيُحۡيِۦ بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَآۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ ٢٤
And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.
