بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Az-Zumar 39:3

أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلۡخَالِصُۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ مَا نَعۡبُدُهُمۡ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلۡفَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ فِي مَا هُمۡ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي مَنۡ هُوَ كَٰذِبٞ كَفَّارٞ ٣
Unquestionably, for Allāh is the pure religion.1 And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allāh in position." Indeed, Allāh will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allāh does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.

Commentary on 39:3
قَوْلِهِ تَعالى هُنا: ﴿والَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ أوْلِياءَ ما نَعْبُدُهم إلّا لِيُقَرِّبُونا إلى اللَّهِ زُلْفى﴾ . فَبَيَّنَ أنَّهم يَزْعُمُونَ أنَّهم ما عَبَدُوا الأصْنامَ، إلّا لِأجْلِ أنْ تُقَرِّبَهم مِنَ اللَّهِ زُلْفى، والزُّلْفى: القَرابَةُ.
(p-٣٥٣)فَقَوْلُهُ: زُلْفى، ما نابَ عَنِ المُطْلَقِ مِن قَوْلِهِ لِيُقَرِّبُونا، أيْ لِيُقَرِّبُونا إلَيْهِ قَرابَةً تَنْفَعُنا بِشَفاعَتِهِمْ في زَعْمِهِمْ.
وَلِذا كانُوا يَقُولُونَ في تَلْبِيَتِهِمْ: لَبَّيْكَ لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، إلّا شَرِيكًا هو لَكْ تَمْلِكُهُ وما مَلَكَ.
وَقَدْ قَدَّمْنا في سُورَةِ المائِدَةِ في الكَلامِ عَلى قَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿وابْتَغُوا إلَيْهِ الوَسِيلَةَ﴾ [الأنعام: ٣٥] أنَّ هَذا النَّوْعَ مِنِ ادِّعاءِ الشُّفَعاءِ، واتِّخاذِ المَعْبُوداتِ مَن دُونِ اللَّهِ وسائِطَ مَن أصُولِ كُفْرِ الكُفّارِ.
وَقَدْ صَرَّحَ تَعالى بِذَلِكَ في سُورَةِ يُونُسَ في قَوْلِهِ جَلَّ وعَلا: ﴿وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَضُرُّهم ولا يَنْفَعُهم ويَقُولُونَ هَؤُلاءِ شُفَعاؤُنا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ قُلْ أتُنَبِّئُونَ اللَّهَ بِما لا يَعْلَمُ في السَّماواتِ ولا في الأرْضِ سُبْحانَهُ وتَعالى عَمّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾ [يونس: ١٨] .
فَصَرَّحَ تَعالى بِأنَّ هَذا النَّوْعَ، مِنِ ادِّعاءِ الشُّفَعاءِ شِرْكٌ بِاللَّهِ، ونَزَّهَ نَفْسَهُ الكَرِيمَةَ عَنْهُ، بِقَوْلِهِ جَلَّ وعَلا ﴿سُبْحانَهُ وتَعالى عَمّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾ وأشارَ إلى ذَلِكَ في آيَةِ الزُّمَرِ هَذِهِ؛ لِأنَّهُ جَلَّ وعَلا لِما قالَ عَنْهم: ﴿ما نَعْبُدُهم إلّا لِيُقَرِّبُونا إلى اللَّهِ زُلْفى إنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهم في ما هم فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ﴾ [الزمر: ٣] أتْبَعَ ذَلِكَ بِقَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿إنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَهْدِي مَن هو كاذِبٌ كَفّارٌ﴾ [الزمر: ٣] .
وَقَوْلُهُ: كُفّارٌ، صِيغَةُ مُبالَغَةٍ، فَدَلَّ ذَلِكَ عَلى أنَّ الَّذِينَ قالُوا ما نَعْبُدُهم إلّا لِيُقَرِّبُونا إلى اللَّهِ زُلْفى جامِعُونَ بِذَلِكَ، بَيْنَ الكَذِبِ والمُبالَغَةِ في الكُفْرِ بِقَوْلِهِمْ ذَلِكَ، وسَيَأْتِي إنْ شاءَ اللَّهُ لِهَذا زِيادَةُ إيضاحٍ في سُورَةِ النّاسِ.

38:84
قَالَ فَٱلۡحَقُّ وَٱلۡحَقَّ أَقُولُ ٨٤
[Allāh] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say -
38:85
لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ ٨٥
[That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together."
38:86
قُلۡ مَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَكَلِّفِينَ ٨٦
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not ask you for it [i.e., the Qur’ān] any payment, and I am not of the pretentious.
38:87
إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرٞ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٨٧
It is but a reminder to the worlds.
38:88
وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعۡدَ حِينِۭ ٨٨
And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."
سورة الزمر
Az-Zumar

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
39:1
تَنزِيلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ ١
The revelation of the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
39:2
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَٱعۡبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصٗا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ ٢
Indeed, We have sent down to you the Book, [O Muḥammad], in truth. So worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
39:3

39:4
لَّوۡ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدٗا لَّٱصۡطَفَىٰ مِمَّا يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ ٤
If Allāh had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allāh, the One, the Prevailing.1

39:5
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ يُكَوِّرُ ٱلَّيۡلَ عَلَى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ ٱلنَّهَارَ عَلَى ٱلَّيۡلِۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلّٞ يَجۡرِي لِأَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۗ أَلَا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّٰرُ ٥
He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.1
