Al-Ma'idah 5:76

قُلۡ أَتَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗاۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٧٦
Say, "Do you worship besides Allāh that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allāh who is the Hearing, the Knowing?"

کہہ دیجیے! کیا تم عبادت کرتے ہو، اللہ کو چھوڑ کر، ایسی چیز کی جو نہیں اختیار رکھتی تمھارے لیے نقصان کا اور نہ نفع کااور اللہ وہی ہے خوب سننے والا خوب جاننے والا(76)
[76]﴿ قُلۡ ﴾ یعنی اے رسولﷺ ان سے کہہ دیجیے ﴿ اَتَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ ﴾ کیا تم اللہ کے سوا مخلوق کی عبادت کرتے ہو جو محتاج اور فقیر ہیں ﴿ مَا لَا يَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفۡعًا﴾ ’’جو تمھارے لیے نفع اور نقصان کا اختیار نہیں رکھتے‘‘ اور تم اس ہستی کو چھوڑ دیتے ہو جس اکیلی کے قبضۂ قدرت میں نفع و نقصان ہے اور صرف وہی ہستی ہے جو عطا کرتی اور محروم کرتی ہے۔ ﴿ وَاللّٰهُ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ ﴾ ’’اور اللہ، وہی سننے والا ہے۔‘‘ اللہ تعالیٰ مخلوق کے اختلافات زبان اور تنوع حاجات کے باوجود سب آوازیں سنتا ہے ﴿ الۡعَلِيۡمُ﴾ ’’جاننے والا ہے۔‘‘ وہ ظاہر و باطن، غیب و شہادت اور ماضی اور مستقبل کے امور کو جانتا ہے۔ پس صاحب کمال ہستی جو ان اوصاف کی مالک ہے، وہی عبادت کی تمام انواع اور خالص اطاعت کی مستحق ہے۔

5:71
وَحَسِبُوٓاْ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتۡنَةٞ فَعَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ثُمَّ عَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ كَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ ٧١
And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allāh turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allāh is Seeing of what they do.
5:72
لَقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنۡ أَنصَارٖ ٧٢
They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allāh is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allāh, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allāh - Allāh has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
5:73
لَّقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٖۘ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۚ وَإِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهُواْ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٧٣
They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allāh is the third of three."1 And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.

5:74
أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ ٧٤
So will they not repent to Allāh and seek His forgiveness? And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
5:75
مَّا ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٞۖ كَانَا يَأۡكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرۡ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ ٧٥
The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food.1 Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.

5:76
