Commentary on 50:12–14
Para tyre mohuan populli i Nuhut, banorët e Ressit, populli i Themudit, Adi, Faraoni, vëllezërit e Lutit, banorët e Ejkes dhe populli i Tubbeit. -Pas përmendjes së disa shenjave të mëdha, Allahu i Lartësuar u tërheq vërejtjen njerëzve, duke u kujtuar ndëshkimet që goditën mbi popujt e mëparshëm, të cilët shpërfillën shenjat dhe porositë e Tij. Ai i këshillon ata që të mos vazhdojnë me mohimin dhe shpërfilljen e Librit dhe Profetit të Tij, që të mos ndëshkohen si popujt e hershëm. Allahu i Lartësuar përmend disa nga këta popuj dhe profetët e tyre. Kështu, Profeti Nuh (a.s.) u refuzua nga populli i tij. Populli i Themudit refuzoi profetin Salih, populli i Adit mohoi profetin Hud, vëllezërit e Lutit refuzuan profetin Lut, banorët e Ejkes refuzuan profetin Shuajb. Edhe banorët e Tubbeit refuzuan profetët e tyre. Tubbei quhej çdo mbret që sundonte në Jemen në kohët e shkuara, para Islamit. Allahu i Lartësuar nuk na tregon për emrin e profetit që u dërgua në popullin e Tub-beit, por na tregon që ata e mohuan atë.Të gjithë mohuan profetët, prandaj merituan ndëshkimin Tim. -Të gjithë këta popuj i refuzuan profetët që Zoti dërgoi ndër ta, prandaj merituan ndëshkimin e paralajmëruar të Tij. Për këtë arsye, edhe ata që mohonin udhëzimin e profetit Muhamed nuk ishin më të mirë se popujt e ndëshkuar më herët, ashtu si edhe profeti Muhamed nuk ishte më pak i vlefshëm se profetët e dërguar para tij. Prandaj edhe ata i priste i njëjti ndëshkim, nëse vazhdonin të bënin të njëjtin krim! Pastaj Allahu i Madhëruar u sjell një provë tjetër, që të binden plotësisht për fuqinë e Tij të plotë për të ringjallur krijesat:

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
50:1
قٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِيدِ ١
50:2
بَلۡ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٌ ٢
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
50:3
أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞ ٣
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return."
50:4
قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢ ٤
We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
50:5
بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرٖ مَّرِيجٍ ٥
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
50:6
أَفَلَمۡ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖ ٦
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?
50:7
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖ ٧
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,
50:8
تَبۡصِرَةٗ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖ ٨
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].
50:9
وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٖ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِيدِ ٩
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
50:10
وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلۡعٞ نَّضِيدٞ ١٠
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -
50:11
رِّزۡقٗا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةٗ مَّيۡتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُ ١١
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection].
50:12
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ ١٢
The people of Noah denied before them,1 and the companions of the well2 and Thamūd
50:13
وَعَادٞ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَٰنُ لُوطٖ ١٣
And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of Lot
50:14
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلّٞ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ ١٤
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.
50:15
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي لَبۡسٖ مِّنۡ خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖ ١٥
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.
