بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ ٥٩
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me.

Commentary on 51:59–60
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ اين ستمکاران را، از عذاب بهره اي است همانند بهره اي که يارانشان داشتند پس به شتاب چيزي از من نخواهند فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ واي بر کافران ، از آن روز که آنها را وعده داده اند.
(59) (﴿فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواۡ﴾) همانا کسانی که با تکذیب محمّد صلی الله علیه وسلم ستم کرده‌اند (﴿ذَنُوبٗا﴾) بهره و سهمی از عذاب و شکنجه دارند همچنان‌که یاران ستمگر و تکذیب‌کننده‌شان چنین بهره‌ای داشته‌اند. (﴿فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ﴾) پس نباید به شتاب، وقوع عذاب را از من بخواهند. چون سنّت خداوند دربارۀ امّت‌ها یکی است. پس هر تکذیب‌کننده‌ای که به تکذیب خود ادامه دهد بدون آنکه توبه نماید و به سوی خدا برگردد، قطعاً عذاب بر او واقع خواهد شد گرچه مدّتی دیر شود. بنابراین خداوند آنها را از روز قیامت برحذر داشت
(60) و فرمود: (﴿فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواۡ مِن يَوۡمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ﴾) پس وای به حال آنان که کفر ورزیده‌اند از روزی که به آن وعده داده شده‌اند! و آن روز قیامت است که در آن روز به انواع عذاب و شکنجه‌ها گرفتار می‌شوند، و به زنجیرها بسته خواهند شد. پس هیچ فریادرسی ندارند و هیچ کسی نیست که آنها را از عذاب خدا نجات دهد، از این عذاب به خداوند پناه می‌جوئیم.

51:52
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ ٥٢
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."
51:53
أَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ ٥٣
Did they suggest it to them?1 Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.

51:54
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖ ٥٤
So leave them, [O Muḥammad], for you are not to be blamed.
51:55
وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٥٥
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
51:56
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ ٥٦
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
51:57
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطۡعِمُونِ ٥٧
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.
51:58
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُ ٥٨
Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider,1 the firm possessor of strength.

51:59

52:1
وَٱلطُّورِ ١
By the mount
52:2
وَكِتَٰبٖ مَّسۡطُورٖ ٢
And [by] a Book inscribed1

فِي رَقّٖ مَّنشُورٖ ٣
In parchment spread open
52:4
وَٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡمُورِ ٤
And [by] the frequented House1

52:5
وَٱلسَّقۡفِ ٱلۡمَرۡفُوعِ ٥
And [by] the ceiling [i.e., heaven] raised high
52:6
وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ ٱلۡمَسۡجُورِ ٦
And [by] the sea set on fire,1

52:7
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٞ ٧
Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.
52:8
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٖ ٨
Of it there is no preventer.
52:9
يَوۡمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوۡرٗا ٩
On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion
52:10
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرٗا ١٠
And the mountains will pass on, departing1 -

52:11
فَوَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ١١
Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,
52:12
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي خَوۡضٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ ١٢
Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.
52:13
يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ١٣
The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],
52:14
هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ١٤
"This is the Fire which you used to deny.
