بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Al-Qamar 54:54

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ ٥٤
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,

Commentary on 54:54
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿إنَّ المُتَّقِينَ في جَنّاتٍ ونَهَرٍ﴾ .
أيْ في جَنّاتٍ وأنْهارٍ كَما أوْضَحَ تَعالى ذَلِكَ في قَوْلِهِ: ﴿تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِها الأنْهارُ﴾ [البقرة: ٢٥]، وقَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿فِيها أنْهارٌ مِن ماءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وأنْهارٌ مِن لَبَنٍ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وأنْهارٌ مِن خَمْرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشّارِبِينَ وأنْهارٌ مِن عَسَلٍ مُصَفًّى﴾ [محمد: ١٥] .
وَقَدْ ذَكَرْنا كَثِيرًا مِن أمْثِلَةِ إطْلاقِ المُفْرَدِ، وإرادَةِ الجَمْعِ كَما هُنا في القُرْآنِ العَظِيمِ، مَعَ تَنْكِيرِ المُفْرَدِ وتَعْرِيفِهِ، وإضافَتِهِ، وأكْثَرْنا أيْضًا مِنَ الشَّواهِدِ العَرَبِيَّةِ عَلى ذَلِكَ في سُورَةِ (p-٤٨٧)الحَجِّ في الكَلامِ عَلى قَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكم طِفْلًا﴾ [الحج: ٥]، وفي غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ مِنَ المَواضِعِ. والعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعالى.

قال المؤلف في (دفع إيهام الإضطراب عن آيات الكتاب):
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿إنَّ المُتَّقِينَ في جَنّاتٍ ونَهَرٍ﴾ .
تَقَدَّمَ وجْهُ الجَمْعِ بَيْنَهُ وبَيْنَ قَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ﴿فِيها أنْهارٌ مِن ماءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ﴾ الآيَةَ [محمد: ١٥] .

54:50
وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۭ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ ٥٠
And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.
54:51
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ ٥١
And We have already destroyed your kinds,1 so is there any who will remember?

54:52
وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ ٥٢
And everything they did is in written records.
54:53
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ ٥٣
And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.
54:54
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ ٥٤
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,
54:55
فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۭ ٥٥
In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.1

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
55:1
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ١
The Most Merciful
55:2
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٢
Taught the Qur’ān,
55:3
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ ٣
Created man,
55:4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ ٤
[And] taught him eloquence.
55:5
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ ٥
The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,
55:6
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ ٦
And the stars and trees prostrate.1

55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ ٧
And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance
55:8
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ ٨
That you not transgress within the balance.
55:9
وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ ٩
And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.
55:10
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ ١٠
And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.
55:11
فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ ١١
Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]
55:12
وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ ١٢
And grain having husks and scented plants.
55:13
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ١٣
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?1

55:14
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ ١٤
He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.
55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ ١٥
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
55:16
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ١٦
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
