يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ ٤٤
They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

﴿هَذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِها المُجْرِمُونَ﴾ ﴿يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَها وبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ﴾ .
هَذا مِمّا يُقالُ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ عَلى رُءُوسِ المَلَأِ.
ووَصُفُ جَهَنَّمَ بِ ﴿الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِها المُجْرِمُونَ﴾ تَسْفِيهٌ لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ وفَضْحٌ لَهم. وجُمْلَةُ يَطُوفُونَ حالٌ مِنَ (المُجْرِمُونَ)، أيْ قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ سَفَهُ تَكْذِيبِهِمْ بِجَهَنَّمَ اتِّضاحًا بَيِّنًا بِظُهُورِها لِلنّاسِ وبِأنَّهم يَتَرَدَّدُونَ خِلالَها كَما تَرَدَّدُوا في إثْباتِها حِينَ أُنْذِرُوا بِها في الدُّنْيا.
والطَّوافُ: تَرْدادُ المَشْيِ والإكْثارُ مِنهُ، يُقالُ طافَ بِهِ، وطافَ عَلَيْهِ، ومِنهُ الطَّوافُ بِالكَعْبَةِ، والطَّوافُ بِالصَّفا والمَرْوَةِ، قالَ تَعالى ﴿فَلا جُناحَ عَلَيْهِ أنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِما﴾ [البقرة: ١٥٨] وتَقَدَّمَ في سُورَةِ البَقَرَةِ.
والحَمِيمُ: الماءُ المُغَلّى الشَّدِيدُ الحَرارَةِ.

والمَعْنى: يَمْشُونَ بَيْنَ مَكانِ النّارِ وبَيْنَ الحَمِيمِ فَإذا أصابَهم حَرُّ النّارِ طَلَبُوا التَّبَرُّدَ فَلاحَ لَهُمُ الماءَ فَذَهَبُوا إلَيْهِ فَأصابَهم حَرُّهُ فانْصَرَفُوا إلى النّارِ دَوالَيْكَ وهَذا كَقَوْلِهِ ﴿وإنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغاثُوا بِماءٍ كالمُهْلِ﴾ [الكهف: ٢٩] .
وآنٍ: اسْمُ فاعِلٍ مِن أنى، إذا اشْتَدَّتْ حَرارَتُهُ.

55:41
يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ ٤١
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
55:42
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٤٢
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:43
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ٤٣
This is Hell, which the criminals deny.
55:44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ ٤٤
They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].
55:45
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٤٥
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:46
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ٤٦
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord1 are two gardens -

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٤٧
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
55:48
ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ ٤٨
Having [spreading] branches.
55:49
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٤٩
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:50
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ ٥٠
In both of them are two springs, flowing.
55:51
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥١
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ ٥٢
In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.
55:53
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥٣
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:54
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ ٥٤
[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.
55:55
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥٥
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:56
فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ ٥٦
In them are women limiting [their] glances,1 untouched2 before them by man or jinnī -
55:57
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥٧
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
55:58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ ٥٨
As if they were rubies and coral.1

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥٩
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:60
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ ٦٠
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
55:61
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦١
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ٦٢
And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -
55:63
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦٣
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
55:64
مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ ٦٤
Dark green [in color].
55:65
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦٥
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
55:66
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ٦٦
In both of them are two springs, spouting.
55:67
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦٧
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
