Al-An'am 6:84

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَۚ كُلًّا هَدَيۡنَاۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيۡنَا مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ٨٤
And We gave to him [i.e., Abraham] Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.

Commentary on 6:84
﴿وَوَهَبْنا لَهُ إِسْحاقَ﴾ فعل ماض تعلق به الجار والمجرور ونا فاعله والحق مفعوله ﴿وَيَعْقُوبَ﴾ عطف والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها. ﴿كُلًّا﴾ مفعول به مقدم للفعل بعده ﴿هَدَيْنا﴾ فعل ماض وفاعل والجملة مستأنفة لا محل لها ﴿وَنُوحاً هَدَيْنا﴾ مفعول به مقدم وفعل ماض وفاعل والجملة معطوفة ﴿مِنْ﴾ حرف جر. ﴿قَبْلُ﴾ ظرف زمان مبني على الضم لانقطاعه عن الإضافة: في محل جر بحرف الجر، والجار والمجرور متعلقان بالفعل قبلهما. ﴿وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ﴾ متعلقان بمحذوف حال والتقدير وهديناهم حال كونهم من ذريته. و ﴿داوُدَ وَسُلَيْمانَ﴾ عطف على نوح. ﴿وَكَذلِكَ﴾ الواو للاستئناف. الكاف حرف جر. ذا اسم إشارة في محل جر بحرف الجر. والجار والمجرور متعلقان بمحذوف مفعول مطلق نجزي المحسنين جزاء كذلك الجزاء. ﴿نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ﴾ فعل مضارع ومفعوله والفاعل ضمير مستتر تقديره نحن والجملة مستأنفة لا محل لها.

6:82
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَلَمۡ يَلۡبِسُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلۡمٍ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡنُ وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ ٨٢
They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice1 - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.

6:83
وَتِلۡكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهَآ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦۚ نَرۡفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٖ مَّن نَّشَآءُۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ ٨٣
And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.
6:84

6:85
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحۡيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلۡيَاسَۖ كُلّٞ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٨٥
And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.
6:86
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلۡيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطٗاۚ وَكُلّٗا فَضَّلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٨٦
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds.
6:87
وَمِنۡ ءَابَآئِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمۡ وَإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡۖ وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ ٨٧
And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.
6:88
ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهۡدِي بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۚ وَلَوۡ أَشۡرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٨٨
That is the guidance of Allāh by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allāh, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.
6:89
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَۚ فَإِن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدۡ وَكَّلۡنَا بِهَا قَوۡمٗا لَّيۡسُواْ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ ٨٩
Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if they [i.e., the disbelievers] deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.
6:90
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُۖ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقۡتَدِهۡۗ قُل لَّآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ أَجۡرًاۖ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٩٠
Those are the ones whom Allāh has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for it [i.e., this message] no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."
