بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Al-Mulk 67:5

وَلَقَدۡ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا رُجُومٗا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ٥
And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with lamps [i.e., stars] and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils1 and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.

Commentary on 67:5
* الإعراب:
(الواو) استئنافيّة (اللام) لام القسم لقسم مقدّر (قد) حرف تحقيق (بمصابيح) متعلّق ب (زيّنا) ، و (الباء) للاستعانة (للشياطين) متعلّق ب (رجوما) [[على أنه مصدر ... أو متعلّق بنعت ل (رجوما) .]] ، (الواو) عاطفة (لهم) متعلّق ب (أعتدنا) ..
جملة: «زيّنا ... » لا محلّ لها جواب القسم المقدّر ... وجملة القسم المقدّرة استئنافيّة.
وجملة: «جعلناها ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة جواب القسم.
وجملة: «أعتدنا ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة جعلناها [[يجوز أن تكون الجملة حالا بتقدير قد.]] .
* الصرف:
(رجوما) مصدر الثلاثيّ رجم، استعمل صفة بمعنى المفعول أي المرجوم به، ويجوز أن يستعمل كمصدر بعد حذف مضاف أي ذات رجوم، وجمع المصدر باعتبار أنواعه، وزنه فعول بضمّ الفاء، أو هو جمع رجم اسم لما يرجم به زنة فعل بفتح فسكون.
* البلاغة:
الاستعارة التصريحية: في قوله تعالى وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّماءَ الدُّنْيا بِمَصابِيحَ.
حيث شبه الكواكب والنجوم بمصابيح، وحذف المشبه وأبقى المشبه به، على طريق الاستعارة التصريحية الأصلية وذلك أن الناس يزيّنون مساجدهم ودورهم بأثقاب المصابيح، ولكنها مصابيح لا توازيها، أي مصابيح إضاءة.

Al-Mulk
The Sovereignty · Meccan · 30 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
67:1
تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ ١
Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -
67:2
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٢
[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -
67:3
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗاۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖۖ فَٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ هَلۡ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٖ ٣
[And] who created seven heavens in layers.1 You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?

67:4
ثُمَّ ٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيۡنِ يَنقَلِبۡ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئٗا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٞ ٤
Then return [your] vision twice again.1 [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued.

67:6
وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ٦
And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination.
67:7
إِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ فِيهَا سَمِعُواْ لَهَا شَهِيقٗا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ ٧
When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up.
67:8
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ كُلَّمَآ أُلۡقِيَ فِيهَا فَوۡجٞ سَأَلَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ ٨
It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?"
67:9
قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ ٩
They will say, "Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allāh has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'"
67:10
وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ١٠
And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."
67:11
فَٱعۡتَرَفُواْ بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسُحۡقٗا لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ١١
And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation1 for the companions of the Blaze.

67:12
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَأَجۡرٞ كَبِيرٞ ١٢
Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward.
