بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

كِتَٰبٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِي صَدۡرِكَ حَرَجٞ مِّنۡهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٢
[This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muḥammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers.

Commentary on 7:2
قوله: ﴿وَذِكْرَىٰ﴾.
في موضع رفع على العطف على: ﴿كِتَابٌ﴾ عند الكسائي.
و ﴿كِتَابٌ﴾ مرفوع بإضمار مبتدأ، أي: هذا كتاب.
وقيل: ﴿ذِكْرَىٰ﴾ مرفوعة على إضمار مبتدأ، وهو قول البصريين.
وقيل: هو في موضع نصب على العطف على المعنى؛ لأن المعنى: كتاب أنزلناه إليك، فعطف على "الهاء" المقدرة، وهو قول الكسائي أيضاً.
وقيل: نصبه على المصدر، وهو قول البصريين أيضاً.
وقيل: هو في موضع خفض على العطف، على معنى ﴿لِتُنذِرَ﴾؛ لأن معناه للإنذار وللذكرى.
و "الهاء" في: ﴿مِّنْهُ﴾، تعود على الكتاب.
وقيل: على الإنذار.
وقيل: على التكذيب الذي دلَّ عليه المعنى.
و ﴿لِتُنذِرَ بِهِ﴾، يراد به التقديم؛ أن "اللام" متعلقة بـ: ﴿أُنزِلَ﴾.
ومعنى الآية: هذا يا محمد، كتاب أنزلناه إليك، ﴿لِتُنذِرَ بِهِ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾، أي: يذكرون به الآخرة، فلا يكن في صدرك ضيق منه.
قال قتادة، ومجاهد الحرج هنا: الشك، المراد به المرسل إليهم لا النبي، وهو قول ابن عباس، وغيره.
وذكر الزجاج، وغيره: أن النبي، ﷺ، قال: "إني أخاف أن يثلغوا رأسي فيجعلوه كالخبزة
فالله أعلم نبيه، ﷺ، أنه في أمان منهم، فقال: ﴿وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ﴾ [المائدة: ٦٧].
وكان منه هذا الخوف بمكة.
ومن رفع "الكتاب" بإضمار مبتدأ، أجاز الوقف على ﴿الۤمۤصۤ﴾.
ومن رفعه بـ: ﴿الۤمۤصۤ﴾، لم يقف عليها.
ومن رفع الكتاب بإضمار مبتدأ، أضمر للهجاء ما يرفعه، كأنه قال: هذه الحروف، هذا ﴿كِتَابٌ﴾.

7:2
كِتَٰبٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِي صَدۡرِكَ حَرَجٞ مِّنۡهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٢
[This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muḥammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers.
7:3
ٱتَّبِعُواْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۗ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٣
Follow, [O mankind], what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other than Him any allies. Little do you remember.
7:4
وَكَم مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأۡسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوۡ هُمۡ قَآئِلُونَ ٤
And how many cities have We destroyed, and Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon.
7:5
فَمَا كَانَ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ إِذۡ جَآءَهُم بَأۡسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ٥
And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!"
7:6
فَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ٦
Then We will surely question those to whom [a message] was sent, and We will surely question the messengers.
7:7
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيۡهِم بِعِلۡمٖۖ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ ٧
Then We will surely relate [their deeds] to them with knowledge, and We were not [at all] absent.
7:8
وَٱلۡوَزۡنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡحَقُّۚ فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ٨
And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful.
7:9
وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظۡلِمُونَ ٩
And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who will lose themselves for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses.
7:10
وَلَقَدۡ مَكَّنَّٰكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَۗ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ ١٠
And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you grateful.
7:11
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ ثُمَّ صَوَّرۡنَٰكُمۡ ثُمَّ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ لَمۡ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ١١
And We have certainly created you, [O mankind], and given you [human] form. Then We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees.1 He was not of those who prostrated.
