Commentary on 84:22–25
* الإعراب:
(بل) للإضراب الانتقاليّ (الواو) عاطفة- أو حاليّة- (ما) حرف مصدريّ [[أو اسم موصول، أو نكرة موصوفة في محلّ جرّ، والعائد محذوف أي يوعونه.]] ، (الفاء) رابطة لجواب شرط مقدّر (بعذاب) متعلّق ب (بشّرهم) ، (إلّا) للاستثناء (الذين) موصول في محلّ نصب على الاستثناء المنقطع (لهم) متعلّق بمحذوف خبر مقدّم للمبتدأ (أجر) ، (غير) نعت لأجر مرفوع..
والمصدر المؤوّل (ما يوعون..) في محلّ جرّ بالباء متعلّق ب (أعلم) بمعنى عالم.
جملة: «الذين كفروا ... » لا محلّ لها استئنافيّة.
وجملة: «كفروا ... » لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول (الذين) .
وجملة: «يكذّبون ... » في محلّ رفع خبر المبتدأ (الذين) .
وجملة: «الله أعلم ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على الاستئنافيّة [[أو في محلّ نصب حال.]] .
وجملة: «يوعون ... » لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول الحرفيّ (ما) [[أو صلة الموصول الاسميّ.. أو في محلّ جرّ نعت للنكرة، والعائد فيهما محذوف أي يوعونه.]] .
وجملة: «بشّرهم ... » في محلّ جزم جواب شرط مقدّر أي: إن استمرّوا في كذبهم فبشّرهم ...
وجملة: «آمنوا ... » لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول (الذين) الثاني.
وجملة: «عملوا ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة آمنوا.
وجملة: «لهم أجر ... » لا محلّ لها استئناف بيانيّ [[إذا أعربت (إلّا) بمعنى لكن فالموصول مبتدأ وجملة لهم أجر خبره.]] .
* الصرف:
(23) يوعون: ماضيه أوعى الشيء أي وضعه في الوعاء وهنا بمعنى يضمرون، وفي الفعل إعلال بالتسكين وإعلال بالحذف أصله يوعيون، استثقلت الضمّة على الياء فسكّنت ونقلت الضمّة إلى العين قبلها- إعلال بالتسكين- ثمّ حذفت الياء لالتقائها ساكنة مع واو الجماعة- إعلال بالحذف- وزنه يفعون بضمّ الياء والعين.

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ٣٥
On adorned couches, observing.
83:36
هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ ٣٦
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتۡ ١
When the sky has split [open]
84:2
وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ٢
And has listened [i.e., responded]1 to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡ ٣
And when the earth has been extended1

84:4
وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ ٤
And has cast out that within it1 and relinquished [it]

84:5
وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ٥
And has listened [i.e., responded] to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] –
84:6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدۡحٗا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ ٦
O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion1 and will meet it.2
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ ٧
Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,
84:8
فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابٗا يَسِيرٗا ٨
He will be judged with an easy account
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورٗا ٩
And return to his people in happiness.
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهِۦ ١٠
But as for he who is given his record behind his back,
84:11
فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُواْ ثُبُورٗا ١١
He will cry out for destruction
84:12
وَيَصۡلَىٰ سَعِيرًا ١٢
And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورًا ١٣
Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ ١٤
Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allāh].
84:15
بَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرٗا ١٥
But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever, of him, Seeing.
84:16
فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ ١٦
So I swear by the twilight glow
84:17
وَٱلَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ ١٧
And [by] the night and what it envelops
84:18
وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ ١٨
And [by] the moon when it becomes full
84:19
لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٖ ١٩
[That] you will surely embark upon [i.e., experience] state after state.1

84:20
فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ٢٠
So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لَا يَسۡجُدُونَۤ۩ ٢١
And when the Qur’ān is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allāh]?
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُكَذِّبُونَ ٢٢
But those who have disbelieved deny,
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ ٢٣
And Allāh is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.
84:24
فَبَشِّرۡهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ٢٤
So give them tidings of a painful punishment,
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونِۭ ٢٥
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
