بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Al-Bayyinah 98:5

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ ٥
And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion.

Commentary on 98:4–5
* الإعراب:
(الواو) عاطفة (ما) نافية (إلّا) للحصر (من بعد) متعلّق ب (تفرّق) ، (ما) حرف مصدريّ..
والمصدر المؤوّل (ما جاءتهم البيّنة) في محلّ جرّ مضاف إليه.
جملة: «ما تفرّق الذين ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على الابتدائيّة.
وجملة: «أوتوا ... » لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول (الذين) .
وجملة: «جاءتهم البيّنة» لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول الحرفيّ (ما) .
5- (الواو) عاطفة في المواضع الثلاثة، واستئنافيّة في الموضع الرابع (ما) نافية، و (الواو) في (أمروا) نائب الفاعل (إلّا) للحصر (اللام) للتعليل (يعبدوا) مضارع منصوب بأن مضمرة بعد اللام (مخلصين) حال منصوبة من فاعل يعبدوا (له) متعلّق ب (مخلصين) (الدين) مفعول به لاسم الفاعل مخلصين (حنفاء) حال ثانية منصوبة..
والمصدر المؤوّل (أن يعبدوا) في محلّ جرّ باللام متعلّق ب (أمروا) [[أي ما أمروا بما أمروا به إلّا لأجل العبادة.]] .
(يقيموا) مضارع منصوب معطوف على (يعبدوا) ، وكذلك (يؤتوا) ..
وجملة: «ما أمروا ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة ما تفرّق الذين [[يجوز أن تكون الجملة حاليّة مفيدة لقبح ما فعلوا أي: تفرّقوا بعد مجيء البيّنة حالة كونهم أمروا بعبادة الله.]] ..
وجملة: «يعبدوا ... » لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول الحرفيّ (أن) المضمر.
وجملة: «يقيموا ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة يعبدوا.
وجملة: «يؤتوا ... » لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة يقيموا.
وجملة: «ذلك دين ... » لا محلّ لها استئنافيّة.

Al-Qadr

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
97:1
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ١
Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.
97:2
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ٢
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
97:3
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ ٣
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
97:4
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ ٤
The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.1

97:5
سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ ٥
Peace it is1 until the emergence of dawn.

Al-Bayyinah

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
98:1
لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ١
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief]1 until there came to them clear evidence –

رَسُولٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفٗا مُّطَهَّرَةٗ ٢
A Messenger from Allāh, reciting purified1 scriptures

98:3
فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ ٣
Within which are correct writings [i.e., rulings and laws].
98:4
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ٤
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided1 until after there had come to them clear evidence.

Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
98:7
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٧
Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.
