بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Al-Bayyinah 98:6

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ شَرُّ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٦
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.

Commentary on 98:6
ثم - بين - سبحانه - سوء عاقبة هؤلاء الجاحدين من أهل الكتاب ومن المشركين فقال : ( إِنَّ الذين كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الكتاب والمشركين فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَآ ) .أى : إن الذين أصروا على كفرهم بعد أن تبين لهم ، من اليهود والنصارى ، ومن المشركين الذين هم عبدة الأصنام . . مكانهم المهيأ لهم هو نار جهنم ، حالة كونهم خالدين فيها خلودا أبديا ( أولئك ) الموصوفون بتلك الصفات الذميمة ( هُمْ شَرُّ البرية ) أى : هم شر كل صنف من أصناف المخلوقات ، لإِصرارهم على الكفر والإِشراك مع علمهم بالحق .ولفظ " البرية " من البرَى وهو التراب ، لأنهم قد خلقوا فى الأصل منه ، يقال : فلان برَاه الله - تعالى - يبرُوه بَرْواً . أى : خلقه وقرأ نافع بالهمز ، من قولهم برأ الله - تعالى - الخلق يبرؤهم ، أى : خلقهم .وقدم سبحانه - أهل الكتاب فى المذمة ، لأن جنايتهم فى حق الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم أشد ، إذا كانوا يستفتحون به على المشركين ويقولون لهم : إن نبيا قد أظللنا زمانه ، وإننا عند مبعثه سنتبعه .. فلما بعث صلى الله عليه وسلم كفروا به .وقد تضمنت هذه الآية الكريمة أمرين : الأول : أن هؤلاء الضالين خالدون فى النار ، والثانى : أنهم شر المخلوقات التى خلقها الله - تعالى - .

97:1
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ١
Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.
97:2
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ٢
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
97:3
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ ٣
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
97:4
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ ٤
The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.1

97:5
سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ ٥
Peace it is1 until the emergence of dawn.

98:1
لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ١
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief]1 until there came to them clear evidence –

98:2
رَسُولٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفٗا مُّطَهَّرَةٗ ٢
A Messenger from Allāh, reciting purified1 scriptures

98:3
فِيهَا كُتُبٞ قَيِّمَةٞ ٣
Within which are correct writings [i.e., rulings and laws].
98:4
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ٤
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided1 until after there had come to them clear evidence.

98:5
وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ ٥
And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion.
98:6
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ شَرُّ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٦

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٧
Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.
