وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوۡ قَاعِدًا أَوۡ قَآئِمٗا فَلَمَّا كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمۡ يَدۡعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرّٖ مَّسَّهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ١٢
And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him. Thus is made pleasing to the transgressors that which they have been doing.

Commentary on 10:12
﴿وإذا مس الإنسان الضر﴾: الواو استئنافية، وإذا ظرف لما يستقبل من الزمن، وجملة مس مضاف إليها، والإنسان مفعول به، والضر فاعل.
﴿دعانا لجنبه أو قاعدا أو قائما﴾: جملة دعانا لا محل لها من الإعراب، لأنها جواب ﴿إذا﴾، ولجنبه في محل نصب حال من فاعل ﴿دعانا﴾ بدليل ما عطف عليه من الحالين الآتيين، ﴿أو﴾ حرف عطف، وقاعدًا معطوف على محل لجنبه، وكذلك أو قائمًا، وجملة ﴿وإذا مس الإنسان...﴾ مستأنفة لا محل لها من الإعراب.
﴿فلما كشفنا عنه ضره مر كأن لم يدعنا إلى ضر مسه﴾: الفاء عاطفة، ولما حينية، أو رابطة، وكشفنا فعل وفاعل، وعنه جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿كشفنا﴾، وجملة مر لا محل لها من الإعراب، لأنها جواب ﴿لما﴾، و﴿كأن﴾ مخففة من الثقيلة، واسمها ضمير الشأن، وجملة لم يدعنا خبرها، و﴿إلى ضر﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿يدعنا﴾، وجملة مسه صفة لـ﴿ضر﴾.
﴿كذلك زين للمسرفين ما كانوا يعملون﴾: ﴿كذلك﴾ الكاف: اسم بمعنى مثل مبني على الفتح في محل نصب صفة لمصدر محذوف، أي: تزيينًا مثلَ ذلك زُيِّن للمسرفين عملُهم، وذلك: ﴿ذا﴾ اسم إشارة في محل جر مضاف إليه، واللام للبعد، والكاف حرف خطاب، و﴿زين﴾ فعل ماض مبني على الفتح وهو مبني لما لم يُسَمَّ فاعله، و﴿للمسرفين﴾ جار ومجرور متعلقان بـ﴿زين﴾، و﴿ما﴾ اسم موصول نائب فاعل، و﴿كانوا﴾ كان فعل ناسخ، وواو الجماعة اسم كان، وجملة ﴿يعملون﴾ خبر كان، وجملة ﴿كانوا يعملون﴾ صلة الموصول لا محل لها من الإعراب.

10:7
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُواْ بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱطۡمَأَنُّواْ بِهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا غَٰفِلُونَ ٧
Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs -
10:8
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأۡوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ ٨
For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn.
10:9
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهۡدِيهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمۡۖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ فِي جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٩
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.
10:10
دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ فِيهَا سُبۡحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمۡ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٞۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ أَنِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ١٠
Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allāh," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds!"
10:11
۞ وَلَوۡ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسۡتِعۡجَالَهُم بِٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَجَلُهُمۡۖ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِي طُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ ١١
And if Allāh was to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke]1 as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them.2 But We leave the ones who do not expect the meeting with Us, in their transgression, wandering blindly.
10:12

10:13
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡقُرُونَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤۡمِنُواْۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ ١٣
And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.
10:14
ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ لِنَنظُرَ كَيۡفَ تَعۡمَلُونَ ١٤
Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do.
