Commentary on 114:4–5
“...Prej së keqes së nxitësit të ligësisë, që rri në pritë(i fshehur), I cili i trazon zemrat e njerëzve...” -Prej sherrit të Shejtanit janë dhe vesveset që ai fut në zemrat dhe shpirtrat e njerëzve. Ai ua hijeshon dhe zbukuron atyre të keqen. Ai i nxit tek ata dëshirën për ta vepruar të keqen dhe i bën entuziastë për këtë. Po ashtu, ai ua shëmton të mirën njerëzve dhe i rëndon ata, duke ua vështirësuar kryerjen e të mirave. Shejtani i mallkuar ua paraqet të mirën jo me pamjen e saj të vërtetë, por me një formë të shëmtuar, të lodhshme dhe të keqe. Kjo është puna e tij e vazhdueshme me njerëzit. I Mallkuari vazhdimisht fut vesvese dhe pastaj fshihet, tërhiqet e struket, sa herë që robi kujton Zotin e tij dhe mbështetet tek Ai për arritjen e çdo të mire dhe largimin nga çdo e keqe. Prandaj, në këtë ajet, thuhet që i Mallkuari është ai “që fshihet”. Sa herë që robi kujton Zotin e tij dhe mbështetet plotësisht tek Ai, për t’u ruajtur nga sherri i vesveseve dhe nga dëmi i Shejtanit, ky i mallkuar struket i pafuqishëm dhe i poshtëruar. Vesveset vijnë prej xhindëve, por vijnë edhe prej njerëzve, prandaj i Lartësuari thotë më tej:

سورة الإخلاص
Al-Ikhlas

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
112:1
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ١
Say, "He is Allāh, [who is] One,1

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ٢
Allāh, the Eternal Refuge.1

112:3
لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ ٣
He neither begets nor is born,
112:4
وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ ٤
Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Al-Falaq
The Daybreak · Meccan · 5 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
113:1
قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ ١
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
113:2
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ٢
From the evil of that which He created
113:3
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ٣
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
113:4
وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ ٤
And from the evil of the blowers in knots1

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ٥
And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
سورة الناس
An-Nas

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
114:1
قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ ١
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
114:2
مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٢
The Sovereign of mankind,
114:3
إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٣
The God of mankind,
114:4
مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ ٤
From the evil of the retreating whisperer1 -

- i.e., a devil who makes evil suggestions to man but disappears when one remembers Allāh. ↩
114:5
ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٥
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
114:6
مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ ٦
From among the jinn and mankind."1
