An-Naml 27:59

قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ أَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٥٩
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Praise be to Allāh, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allāh better or what they associate with Him?"

قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿قُلِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وسَلامٌ عَلى عِبادِهِ﴾ آيَةُ ٥٩ قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ.
(p-٢٩٠٦)[ ١٦٤٩٤ ] حَدَّثَنا أبُو سَعِيدٍ الأشَجُّ، ثَنا أبُو تُمَيْلَةَ عَنْ أبِي المُنِيبِ عَنْ أبِي الشَّعْثاءِ، في قَوْلِهِ:”سَلامٌ“ قالَ: هو اسْمٌ مِن أسْماءِ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿عَلى عِبادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفى﴾
[ ١٦٤٩٥ ] حَدَّثَنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الحُسَيْنِ، ثَنا أحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زِيادِ بْنِ نِسْطاسَ، ثَنا الحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أبِي مالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبّاسٍ، ﴿وسَلامٌ عَلى عِبادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفى﴾ قالَ: أصْحابُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ ورَضِيَ عَنْهم - ورُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وسُفْيانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
[ ١٦٤٩٦ ] أخْبَرَنا أبُو يَزِيدَ القَراطِيسِيُّ، فِيما كَتَبَ إلَيَّ، ثَنا أصْبَغٌ، قالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أسْلَمَ، في قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﴿وسَلامٌ عَلى عِبادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفى﴾ فَقَرَأ ﴿سَلامٌ عَلى نُوحٍ في العالَمِينَ﴾ [الصافات: ٧٩] و﴿سَلامٌ عَلى إبْراهِيمَ﴾ [الصافات: ١٠٩] ﴿وسَلامٌ عَلى المُرْسَلِينَ﴾ [الصافات: ١٨١] ثُمَّ قالَ: ﴿وسَلامٌ عَلى عِبادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفى﴾ فَجَعَلَهم في السَّلامِ مِثْلَ الأنْبِياءِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أمّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾
[١٦٤٩٧] حَدَّثَنا الحَسَنُ بْنُ أبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أنْبَأ عَبْدُ الرَّزّاقِ، أنْبَأ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، سَمِعْتُ صَدَقَةً يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: ﴿أمّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾ يَقُولُ: عَمّا أشْرَكَ المُشْرِكُونَ.

27:56
۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخۡرِجُوٓاْ ءَالَ لُوطٖ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسٞ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ ٥٦
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."
27:57
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ٥٧
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.
27:58
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرٗاۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ ٥٨
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
27:59
قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ أَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٥٩
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Praise be to Allāh, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allāh better or what they associate with Him?"
27:60
أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٖ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ يَعۡدِلُونَ ٦٠
[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allāh?1 [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

27:61
أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارٗا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنۡهَٰرٗا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٦١
Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allāh? [No], but most of them do not know.
27:62
أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجۡعَلُكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢
Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth?1 Is there a deity with Allāh? Little do you remember.

27:63
أَمَّن يَهۡدِيكُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن يُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦٓۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٦٣
Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allāh? High is Allāh above whatever they associate with Him.
