فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ٨
And We destroyed greater than them1 in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.

6- Biz, önceki nesillere de nice peygamberler gönderdik! 7- Ama kendilerine ne zaman bir peygamber gelse mutlaka onu alaya alırlardı. 8- Biz de bunlardan (senin kavminden) çok daha güçlü olanlarını helâk ettik. Nitekim öncekilerin (kıssalarından) misaller daha önce geçmişti.
6. Yüce Allah şöyle buyurmaktadır: İnsanlar arasında uygulayageldiğimiz sünnetimiz/kanunumuz gereği onları ihmal etmez, başıboş bırakmayız. “Biz önceki nesillere de nice peygamberler gönderdik.” Bu peygamberler, onlara Allah’a hiçbir şeyi ortak koşmaksızın sadece O’na ibadet etmelerini emrediyorlardı. Ancak ümmetler arasında peygamberleri yalanlamak sürekli var olagelmiştir . 7. “Ama kendilerine ne zaman bir peygamber gelse mutlaka” getirdiğini bile bile inkâr ederek ve hakka karşı da büyüklenerek “onu alaya alırlardı.” 8. “Biz de bunlardan” şu senin kavminden “çok daha güçlü olanlarını” yaptıkları işleri ve yeryüzündeki eserleri itibari ile daha üstün olanlarını “helâk ettik. Nitekim öncekilerin (kıssalarından) misaller daha önce geçmişti.” Yani onlara dair misaller ve haberler geçmiş ve bunlardan sizin için ibret olacak hususları, yalanlamaktan alıkoyacak yönleri açıklamışızdır.

42:52
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ رُوحٗا مِّنۡ أَمۡرِنَاۚ مَا كُنتَ تَدۡرِي مَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ وَلَا ٱلۡإِيمَٰنُ وَلَٰكِن جَعَلۡنَٰهُ نُورٗا نَّهۡدِي بِهِۦ مَن نَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَاۚ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهۡدِيٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ ٥٢
And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [i.e., the Qur’ān]. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muḥammad], you guide to a straight path -
42:53
صِرَٰطِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَلَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تَصِيرُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ٥٣
The path of Allāh, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allāh do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return].

43:1

43:2
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ ٢
By the clear Book,
43:3
إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهُ قُرۡءَٰنًا عَرَبِيّٗا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ٣
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur’ān that you might understand.
43:4
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِيٓ أُمِّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ ٤
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book1 with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.2
43:5
أَفَنَضۡرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَ صَفۡحًا أَن كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا مُّسۡرِفِينَ ٥
Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?
43:6
وَكَمۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن نَّبِيّٖ فِي ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ٦
And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,
43:7
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ٧
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
43:8
فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ٨

43:9
وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٩
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,"
43:10
ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَهۡدٗا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ فِيهَا سُبُلٗا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ ١٠
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided
