وَإِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلۡتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَٰهَيۡنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِيٓ أَنۡ أَقُولَ مَا لَيۡسَ لِي بِحَقٍّۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلۡتُهُۥ فَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتَهُۥۚ تَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي نَفۡسِي وَلَآ أَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي نَفۡسِكَۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلۡغُيُوبِ ١١٦
And [beware the Day] when Allāh will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allāh?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.

Commentary on 5:116
Allahu do të thotë: “O Isa, biri i Merjemes! Ti, vallë, u the njerëzve: “Më besoni mua dhe nënën time si dy zota veç Allahut!?” Ai do të thotë: “Qofsh i lartësuar(o Zoti im)! -Ky është një qortim i rëndë për krishterët që thonë se Allahu është trini. Kështu, kur Allahu i Madhëruar ta pyesë Isain (a.s)për atë qëndrim të të krishterëve, Isai do të distancohet prej tyre, duke thënë: “Subhaneke!”- i Pastër, i Lartësuar dhe larg çdo mangësie që trillojnë rreth Teje je Ti, o Zoti im!Kurrë nuk mund ta thosha unë atë për të cilën nuk kam asnjë të drejtë. -Kuptimi: Nuk më takon mua dhe as është prej cilësive të mia që të them gjëra të tilla. Asnjë lloj krijese, as melekët e afërt të Zotit, as profetët e askush tjetër nuk ka të drejtë dhe nuk meriton të adhurohet. Të gjithë, pa përjashtim, janë rob të nënshtruar të Allahut, janë krijesa të varfra e të pafuqishme.Po ta kisha thënë atë, Ti do ta kishe ditur. Ti e di çfarë ka në shpirtin tim, ndërsa unë nuk e di atë që është tek Ty. Ti i di të gjitha të fshehtat. -Kuptimi: Ti, o Zoti im, je më i dituri për ato që unë thashë. Ti di çdo të fshehtë. E tillë ishte edukata dhe mënyra e të folurit të Mesihut (a.s)me Zotin e tij. Kur u pyet, ai nuk tha thjesht: “Jo, unë nuk e kam thënë një gjë të tillë”, por zgjodhi tjetër mënyrë, duke treguar se grada në të cilën e ngriti Zoti nuk e lejonte ndryshe. Allahu është i Pastër dhe i Lartësuar që Profeti i zgjedhur dhe i ndihmuar prej Tij të thoshte fjalë të tilla të pahijshme. Dituria e plotë, për të dukshmet dhe për të fshehtat, i takon të Gjithëditurit, Allahut të Madhëruar. Pastaj Isai (a.s)tregon se për çfarë i urdhëroi bijtë e Israilit:

5:114
قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلۡ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدٗا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةٗ مِّنكَۖ وَٱرۡزُقۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ ١١٤
Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allāh, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."
5:115
قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بَعۡدُ مِنكُمۡ فَإِنِّيٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابٗا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ١١٥
Allāh said, "Indeed, I will send it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds."
5:116

5:117
مَا قُلۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرۡتَنِي بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمۡۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ شَهِيدٗا مَّا دُمۡتُ فِيهِمۡۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيۡتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ ١١٧
I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allāh, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness.
5:118
إِن تُعَذِّبۡهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ عِبَادُكَۖ وَإِن تَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ١١٨
If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
5:119
قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدۡقُهُمۡۚ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۖ رَّضِيَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ ١١٩
Allāh will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allāh being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment.
5:120
لِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرُۢ ١٢٠
To Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent.
