لَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِمۡ رُسُلٗاۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولُۢ بِمَا لَا تَهۡوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمۡ فَرِيقٗا كَذَّبُواْ وَفَرِيقٗا يَقۡتُلُونَ ٧٠
We had already taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and had sent to them messengers. Whenever there came to them a messenger with what their souls did not desire, a party [of messengers] they denied, and another party they killed.

* الإعراب:
(اللام) لام القسم لقسم مقدّر (قد) حرف تحقيق (أخذنا) فعل ماض مبني على السكون و (نا) ضمير فاعل (ميثاق) مفعول به منصوب (بني) مضاف إليه مجرور وعلامة الجرّ الياء (إسرائيل) مضاف إليه مجرور وعلامة الجرّ الفتحة فهو ممنوع من الصرف (الواو) عاطفة (أرسلنا) مثل أخذنا (إلى) حرف جرّ و (هم) ضمير في محلّ جرّ متعلّق ب (أرسلنا) ، (رسلا) مفعول به منصوب (كلّما) ظرف بمعنى حين متضمّن معنى الشرط متعلّق بالجواب [[أنظر الحاشية (1) من الصفحة (65) .]] (جاء) فعل ماض و (هم) ضمير مفعول به (رسول) فاعل مرفوع (الباء) حرف جرّ (ما) اسم موصول مبني [[أو نكرة موصوفة والجملة بعدها نعت.]] في محلّ جرّ متعلّق ب (جاء) ، (لا) نافية (تهوى) مضارع مرفوع وعلامة الرفع الضمّة المقدّرة على الألف (أنفس) فاعل مرفوع و (هم) ضمير مضاف إليه (فريقا) مفعول به مقدّم منصوب (كذّبوا) فعل ماض وفاعله (الواو) عاطفة (فريقا) مثل الأول (يقتلون) مضارع مرفوع.. والواو فاعل.
جملة «أخذنا ميثاق ... » : لا محلّ لها جواب قسم مقدّر.
وجملة «أرسلنا ... » : لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جملة جواب القسم.
وجملة «جاءهم رسول» : في محلّ جرّ مضاف إليه.
وجملة «لا تهوى أنفسهم» : لا محلّ لها صلة الموصول (ما) .
وجملة «كذّبوا» : لا محلّ لها جواب شرط غير جازم [[يجوز أن يكون الجواب محذوفا تقديره عصوه وعادوه، وأن المذكورة هي استئناف بيانيّ لسؤال مقدّر كأنه قيل: كيف فعلوا بهم؟]] .
وجملة «يقتلون» : لا محلّ لها معطوفة على جواب الشرط.
* البلاغة:
الالتفات البليغ: في قوله تعالى فَرِيقاً كَذَّبُوا وَفَرِيقاً يَقْتُلُونَ حيث أوثر عليه صيغة المضارع على حكاية الحال الماضية لاستحضار صورتها الهائلة للتعجب منها وللتنبيه على أن ذلك ديدنهم المستمر وللمحافظة على رؤوس الآية الكريمة. وتقديم فريقا في الموضعين للاهتمام به وتشويق السامع إلى ما فعلوا به.

5:65
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ لَكَفَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَلَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُمۡ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٦٥
And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allāh, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure.
5:66
وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَقَامُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَمِن تَحۡتِ أَرۡجُلِهِمۚ مِّنۡهُمۡ أُمَّةٞ مُّقۡتَصِدَةٞۖ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ سَآءَ مَا يَعۡمَلُونَ ٦٦
And if only they had upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord [i.e., the Qur’ān], they would have consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet.1 Among them are a moderate [i.e., acceptable] community, but many of them - evil is that which they do.

5:67
۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغۡ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ وَإِن لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلۡ فَمَا بَلَّغۡتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ٦٧
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allāh will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people.
5:68
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَسۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغۡيَٰنٗا وَكُفۡرٗاۖ فَلَا تَأۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ٦٨
Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord [i.e., the Qur’ān]." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.
5:69
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ ٦٩
Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] and those [before him (ﷺ)] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians - those [among them] who believed in Allāh and the Last Day and did righteousness - no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.1
