إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ١
Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.
Nous avons fait descendre la totalité du Coran vers le Ciel le plus bas et Nous avons commencé à le révéler au Prophète la Nuit du Destin (laylatu l-qadri) du mois de Ramadan.
97:2Page 598
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ٢
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
Ô Prophète, connais-tu le bien et la bénédiction qu’il y a dans cette nuit?
97:3Page 598
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ ٣
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
Cette nuit contient un bien immense puisqu’elle est meilleure que mille mois, pour ceux qui la veillent en accomplissant des adorations qu’ils mettent en dépôt auprès d’Allah.
97:4Page 598
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ ٤
The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.1
Les anges et Gabriel descendent durant cette nuit avec la permission de leur Seigneur et transmetttent tout décret qu’Allah émet pour l’année: subsistance, décès, naissance ou autre.
Cette nuit est toute bénie depuis son commencement jusqu’à sa fin à l’aube.
