43:3Page 489
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur’ān that you might understand.

43:4Page 489
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book1 with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.2
Pellet, ndee Alqur'aanaare, hino ka Alluwal reenaangal, toowunde darja, ñeñaande e yamirooje e haɗaaɗi Aayeeje mun.
43:5Page 489
Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?
E Men acciray jippinirgol Alqur'aana e mon, ɗuurnoragol on, fii ko fantinirɗon kon sirku e geddi? Men waɗataa ɗum ! Tawde Meɗen yurmaa on.
43:6Page 489
And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,
Ɗuuɗii e Annabaaɓe ɓe Min nuli e mofte adinooɓe ɓen.
43:7Page 489
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
Annabaajo Allah araano e ɗen mofte adinooɓe, si wanaa ɓe wonuno e jalkitugol mo.
43:8Page 489
And We destroyed greater than them1 in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
Men halkiino ko ɓuri ɗen mofte saɗtude jawlagol. Wanaa mofte ɓurɗe ɓen ɗon jaasude Men ronkata fii mun ! Toode mise halkanooɓe goo, yawtiino ka Alqur'aana; wano Aadi'en, e Samuuda'en, e yimɓe Luutu ɓen, e wondiiɓe Madyana ɓen.
43:9Page 489
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,"
Ko pellet, si an Nulaaɗo a lamndike ɓee sirkooɓe fennuɓe: wiide ko hommbo tagi kammuuli ɗin e leydi ndin? Ɓe wi'ay: ko Fooluɗo Mo fooletaake On, Annduɗo kala huunde On tagi ɗi.
43:10Page 489
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided
Allah waɗiranɗo On leydi ndin weertaandi, ka rewnoton teppe mon, O waɗani on kadi laawi e pelle e naɗf mayri, fii no ɗoworon ɗe ka yahdu mon.
43:11Page 490
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -
On jippinirɗo ndiyam ka kammu, yeru ko yonata on onon e neemoraɗi mon e remuruuji mon. Men wuurnitiri ɗam, leydi yoorundi ndi alah puɗi. Ko non tigiri, woni ko Allah wuurnitiroyta on.

And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount
On taguɗo kala nooneeji ɗin: wano jemma e ñaloram, gorel e deyel ekw, O waɗirani on e laaɗe ɗen e neemoraaɗi ɗin, ko waɗɗoron ka setagol mon: waɗɗoɗon laaɗe ɗen ka maayo, waɗɗoɗon neemoraaɗi ɗin ka njorndi.
43:13Page 490
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say, "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.1
On eltiranii on ɗum fow, fii yo on fotondir e hoore ko waɗɗotoɗon kon ka setagol mon, refti annditon neema Joomi mon On, tuma nde fotondirɗon e majji, wi'on ontuma: Laaɓal e senayee woodanii eltanɗo men ndii baɗɗateeri, menen on, men wonaano haɗtamɓe e mun, si wanaano Allah eltani men.
43:14Page 490
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
Menen on, ko ka Joomi amen tun, woni ko men ruttoytoo, si men maayii, fii ñaaweede warjee.
43:15Page 490
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion.1 Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.
Sirkooɓe ɓen aaƴii wonnde tagaaɓe goo, ko jibinaaɓe taguɗo On seniiɗo, tuma ɓe wi'unoo: Malaa'ika'en, ko ɓiɗɓe Allah rewɓe ! Pellet, neɗɗanke wi'oowo sugu ngol konngol, ko yedduɗo ɓannguɗo keeferaaku e majjere.
43:16Page 490
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons?
Kaa hara onon ɓee sirkooɓe, on wi'u wonnde Allah jogitanike hoore Makko ɓiɗɓe rewɓe, e ko O tagi kon, O heertinani on onon, ɓiɗɓe worɓe ɓen? Ko honɗum e senndoore woni kon ko aaƴiɗon?
43:17Page 490
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison [i.e., a daughter], his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident1 [attributed to Allāh]?
E ko on ne'eteeɗo e cuɗaari, hara kanko on ka yeddondiral, o ɓannginirtaa haala, sabu ndewaagu makko ngun?
43:19Page 490
And they described the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, as females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
Ɓe inni Malaa'ikaɓe tawɓe ɓen ko jeyaaɓe Jom Hinaranke On, rewɓe. Kere ɓe seedino fewndo Allah tagate ɓen, haa feeñani ɓe wonnde ko ɓe rewɓe? Awa fii ngol seedagol maɓɓe winndete, ɓe lamnditoyee fii mun, Ñalnde Darngal, ɓe leptiree nden fenaande maɓɓe.
43:20Page 490
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but misjudging.
Ɓe wii hoɓe hujjaniro koddoruyee, ɓe wi'i: si Allah haajuno, men rewataano Malaa'ika'en. Tawde O haajii ɗum, hollii Himo welaa. Kono ɓe alanaa e kon ko ɓe wowlata, hay e ganndal; ɓee wonaali, si wanaa e fenugol.
43:21Page 490
Or have We given them a book before it [i.e., the Qur’ān] to which they are adhering?
Kaa ko Deftere Men addani ɓee sirkooɓe, ado Alqur'aana, daginanaynde ɓe rewugol ko woori Allah, hara ko e nden Deftere woni ko ɓe dallinorta?
43:22Page 490
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
Ko woni kon, ɓe dallinor finaa-tawaa wiide: memen men tawu baabiraaɓe amen ɓen e hoore diina, rewaynooɓe sanamu; haray ko e ɗin batteeji ɗon men rewata e mun.
43:23Page 491
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
Haray wanaa e maa woni ko adii e ɗum.
43:24Page 491

[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
Nulaaɗo maɓɓe on maakani ɓe: on jokkay tun baabiraaɓe mon ɓen, hay si mi addanii on ko ɓuri diina maɓɓe kan moƴƴude? Ɓe wi'i: memen dey, ko men yedduɓe ko nulidaɗon e mun kon.
43:25Page 491
So We took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.
Men yottii e ɗen mofte fennunooɓe Nulaaɓe mun ɓen ado maa, Men halki ɓe. Taskii no battane maɓɓe wa'unoo. Ko battane muusunooɗe wonunoo.
43:26Page 491
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship
Janto kadi yo Nulaaɗo, tuma nde Ibraahiima maakannoo ben makko e yime makko ɓen: min on ko mi daɗndiiɗo e sanamuuji ɗi rewoton ɗin, gaanin Allah.
43:27Page 491
Except for He who created me; and indeed, He will guide me."
Si wanaa Allah taguɗo lam On, On ɗon fewnay lam e jokkugol diina focciika kan.
43:28Page 491
And he made it1 a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].
O waɗi konngol tawhiidi ngol Ibraahiima maaki ngol, heddotoongol e ɓaawo makko, ngol mulataa e geyngol wootinɗinooɓe Allah ɓen ɓe kafidataa Mo e huunde. Belajo'o, ɓe ruttoray e Allah, tuubugol e sirku e geddi.
43:29Page 491
However, I gave enjoyment to these [people of Makkah] and their fathers1 until there came to them the truth and a clear Messenger.2
Mi hawjaano halkugol ɓee sirkooɓe fennuɓe, Mi dakmitirno ɓe e heddagol e aduna, kamɓe e baabiraaɓe maɓɓe ɓen, haa nde Alqur'aana arunoo e maɓɓe, e Nulaaɗo ɓannguɗo, woni Muhammadu (Jom kisiyee).
43:30Page 491
But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are, concerning it, disbelievers."
Nde Alqur'aanaare nden ardirunooɓe goonga mo sikke alaa e mu'un, ɓe wi': ɗum ko ko Muhammadu woni mbilɗoraade men, menen non, ko men yedduɓe ɗum.
43:31Page 491
And they said, "Why was this Qur’ān not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"1
Sirkooɓe fennuɓe ɓen wi'i: ko hanno Allah jippinira Alqur'aana e gooto e worɓe koohooɓe Makka maa Taa'ifu ɓen? hara wanaa e Muhammadu baaso alyatimaajo oo?
43:32Page 491
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make use of one another for service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.
E ko kamɓe senndata yurmeende Joomi maa nden, an Nulaaɗo, sakko wona ɓe okkay nde mo ɓe yiɗani, ɓe ɗala nde mo ɓe haaji, kaa ko Allah? Awa ko Menen woni ko senndi arsikeeji maɓɓe ɗin hakkunde maɓɓe aduna, Men waɗi e maɓɓe alɗuɓe e waasuɓe, fii no yga maɓɓe wonira eltanaaɓe ɓeya.
And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers],1 We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount.
And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline
Men waɗayno kadi e cuuɗi maɓɓe ɗin, dame e danɗe e ndaɗɗuɗe ka ɓe soɓɓindoo fii no ɓe unura e fitina on seeɗa-seeɗa.
43:35Page 492
And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
Men waɗanayno ɓe kadi cuɗaari kaŋŋe. Kono ɗum fow wonaali, si wanaa ko dakamme nguurndam aduna; nafa mun ko seeɗa mo juutataa. Ko neema laakara on ka Joomi maa an Nulaaɗo, ɓuri moƴƴannde ɗoftiiɓe Allah ɓen, ɓe woɗɗitii e haɗaaɗi Makko ɗin.
43:36Page 492
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.
Kala ɗuurniiɗo e Alqur'aana, haa o ronki taskagol nde, haray o leptirte wuurteede e setaneeru ndu o seertataa e mun, ko ɓeyda mo bewre.

And indeed, they [i.e., the devils] avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided

43:38Page 492
Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "How I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west; and what a wretched companion."
Haa si on ɗuurninooɗo jantoore Allah nden aroyii Ñalnde Darngal, o yelora wiide: ee bone ! hara hakkunde am e maa, an oo coowodaaɗo, woɗɗirayno goɗɗal fuɗnaange e hiirnaange woɗɗondiri ! Tawde a bonii coowodaaɗo !

And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment.
Allah daalana heeferɓe ɓen nden Ñalnde: ɗum nafataa on hannde - nde tawnoo on tooñiriino ko'e-mon sirku e geddi - wonnde on hawtoyte ka lepte. Ɓe sirkanɗon ɓe, ronnditantaako on huunde e lepte ɗen.

Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muḥammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error?
Ɓee ko faaɗuɓe e nanugol goonga, wumiɗuɓe e yi'ugol mo. Hara non ko an Nulaaɗo, woni ko waawata naninnde faaɗuɗo maa fewna bunɗo maa majjuɗo laawol focciingol ngol?

Or whether [or not] We show you that which We have promised them, indeed, We are Perfect in Ability.
Maa hara Men holle yoga e ko lepte ɗe Men kammbirani ɓe ɗen, haray doo ko Men gaynooɓe fii maɓɓe. Ɓe haɗtanaa dartagol Men e huunde.

So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.
An Nulaaɗo, jogito kon ko Joomi maa wahayini e maaɗa, golitiraa ɗum. Pellet, hiɗa jokki laawol goonga, ngol jilɓuya alah e mum.

And certainly did We send Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."

And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].

And they said [to Moses], "O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. Indeed, we will be guided."
Nde memi ɓe huunde e lepte, ɓe wi'ani Muusaa (yo o his): ko an yo mbileejo! Torano men Joomi maa, ko O jantimaa kon ka fii huncugol lepte ɗen, si wonii men gomɗinii. Tawde pellet, ko men feewooɓe, si O huncanii men lepte ɗen.

But when We removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.

And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?

Then why have there not been placed upon him bracelets of gold or come with him the angels in conjunction?"
Awa ko hanno Allah werloo jawe kaŋŋe, e oo mo O nuli, no o hollira wonnde ko o Nulaaɗo Makko? Maaɗum Malaa'ikaaɓe ɓen arda e makko nun, hara ko ɓe jokkondirɓe?

So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allāh].

And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?"1 They did not present it [i.e., the comparison] except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.
