لِإِيلَٰفِ قُرَيۡشٍ ١

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh¹ -

Zbog navike i običaja Kurejšija

إِۦلَٰفِهِمۡ رِحۡلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيۡفِ ٢

Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer¹ -

navike njihove da sigurni zimi putuju u Jemen, a ljeti u Šam,

فَلۡيَعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّ هَٰذَا ٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٣

Let them worship the Lord of this House,¹

Neka obožavaju samo Gospodara ovog svetog hrama koji im je olakšao ovo putovanje i neka mu nikoga kao sudruga ne pripisuju.

ٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٖ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنۡ خَوۡفِۭ ٤

Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

Koji ih gladne hrani i od straha brani, tako što je u srcima ljudi (arapa) dao da poštuju harem i njegove stanovnike.
