ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَاعِلِ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُوْلِيٓ أَجۡنِحَةٖ مَّثۡنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَۚ يَزِيدُ فِي ٱلۡخَلۡقِ مَا يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ١
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allāh is over all things competent.
Toda alabanza es para Al-lah, el Creador de los cielos y la Tierra sin precedente, y Quien hizo de los ángeles mensajeros que ejecutan Sus órdenes. Algunos de ellos transmiten la revelación a los Profetas y los fortalecen para que realicen lo que se les encomendó. Algunos tienen dos, tres o cuatro alas con las que vuelan para llevar a cabo lo que se les ha ordenado. Al-lah aumenta en Su creación lo que Él desea en belleza. Al-lah es Poderoso sobre todas las cosas. Nada está fuera de Su capacidad.
35:2Page 434
مَّا يَفۡتَحِ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحۡمَةٖ فَلَا مُمۡسِكَ لَهَاۖ وَمَا يُمۡسِكۡ فَلَا مُرۡسِلَ لَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٢
Whatever Allāh grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Las llaves de todas las cosas están en las manos de Al-lah. Por lo tanto, nadie puede impedir que Él conceda sustento, guía o buena fortuna a la gente. No hay quien pueda conceder lo que Él ha retenido. Él es el Poderoso a Quien nadie puede vencer, sabio en Su creación, decretos y planes.
35:3Page 434
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ هَلۡ مِنۡ خَٰلِقٍ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِ يَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ ٣
O mankind, remember the favor of Allāh upon you. Is there any creator other than Allāh who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?
¡Gente! Recuerden el favor de Al-lah sobre ustedes con su corazón, sus palabras y sus acciones. ¿Tienen otro creador además de Al-lah que los sustente del cielo con el agua que Él les envía, y que los sustente de la tierra con los frutos y los cultivos que Él hace brotar? No hay otro Dios verdadero además de Él. Entonces, ¿cómo es que aun así se apartan de esta verdad e inventan mentiras contra Al-lah, y dicen que Al-lah tiene copartícipes cuando es Él quien los creó a todos y los sustenta?
35:4Page 435
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبۡلِكَۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ٤
And if they deny you, [O Muḥammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allāh are returned [all] matters.
Mensajero, si tu gente te desmiente sé paciente, porque no eres el primer Mensajero cuya gente desmintió: las naciones anteriores a ti desmintieron a sus profetas, como los pueblos de ‘Ad, Zamud y de Lot. Solo a Al-lah vuelven todos los asuntos, por lo que Él destruirá a los desmentidores y ayudará a Sus mensajeros y creyentes.
35:5Page 435
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ٥
O mankind, indeed the promise of Allāh is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allāh by the Deceiver [i.e., Satan].
¡Gente! La resurrección y la recompensa en el día del juicio, que Al-lah les ha prometido, son sin duda verdaderas, por lo que no deben permitir que los placeres de la vida mundanal y sus deseos los engañen y les impidan prepararse para ese día por medio de buenas acciones, ni deben dejar que Satanás los engañe incitándolos a inclinarse hacia los placeres mundanos fuera de la ética islámica.
35:6Page 435
إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّاۚ إِنَّمَا يَدۡعُواْ حِزۡبَهُۥ لِيَكُونُواْ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ٦
Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
¡Gente! Satanás es para ustedes un enemigo cuya enemistad es eterna, así que tómenlo como un enemigo comprometiéndose a luchar contra él. El demonio llama a sus seguidores a que no crean en Al-lah para que ingresen al fuego en el día del juicio.
35:7Page 435
ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَأَجۡرٞ كَبِيرٌ ٧
Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.
Los que no creyeron en Al-lah por seguir al demonio recibirán un castigo severo. Pero aquellos que creen en Al-lah y hacen buenas obras obtendrán el perdón de Al-lah por sus pecados y recibirán una gran recompensa en el Paraíso.
35:8Page 435
أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنٗاۖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۖ فَلَا تَذۡهَبۡ نَفۡسُكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَسَرَٰتٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَصۡنَعُونَ ٨
Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allāh sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of what they do.
Aquel cuyas malas acciones han sido embellecidas por el demonio, y piensa que son buenas, no es como aquel para quien Al-lah ha embellecido la verdad, por lo que cree que es la verdad, porque Al-lah desvía a quien Él quiere y guía a quien Él quiere, sin que nadie pueda obligarlo. Así que no te aflijas, Mensajero, por el extravío de los que se han desviado. Al-lah es conocedor de lo que hacen. Ninguna de sus acciones está oculta para él.
35:9Page 435
وَٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابٗا فَسُقۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٖ مَّيِّتٖ فَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ ٩
And it is Allāh who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.
Al-lah es Quien envía los vientos, y estos mueven las nubes a las que luego conduzco hacia una tierra seca, y le doy vida por medio de las lluvias y hago que las plantas crezcan después de haber sido una tierra muerta y seca. Así como le di vida a esta tierra yerma, con las plantas que hice crecer en ella, igualmente ocurrirá la resurrección de los muertos el día del juicio.
35:10Page 435
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًاۚ إِلَيۡهِ يَصۡعَدُ ٱلۡكَلِمُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ وَٱلۡعَمَلُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُ يَرۡفَعُهُۥۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡكُرُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ وَمَكۡرُ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ ١٠
Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allāh belongs all honor.1 To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it.2 But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.
Quien quiera honor en este mundo o en el Más Allá solo debe esperarlo de Al-lah, porque solo a Al-lah pertenece el honor en ambos. Hacia Él ascienden las buenas obras de Sus siervos. Pero aquellos que maquinen maldades, recibirán un castigo severo. Las maquinaciones de los incrédulos perecerán y no lograrán sus objetivos.
35:11Page 435
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗاۚ وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهِۦۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٖ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنۡ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ ١١
And Allāh created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allāh is easy.
Al-lah es quien creó a su padre Adán de la tierra, luego creó al resto de una gota de esperma, luego los hizo hombres y mujeres para que casen entre sí. Ninguna mujer concibe un feto ni da a luz sin que Él tenga conocimiento. Nada de eso está oculto de Él. Nada en Su creación puede alargar o acortar su vida sin que esté registrado en la Tabla Preservada. Todo lo que se ha mencionado, es decir, crearlos de la tierra, luego en etapas y registrar su plazo de vida, es cosa fácil para Al-lah.
35:12Page 436
وَمَا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡبَحۡرَانِ هَٰذَا عَذۡبٞ فُرَاتٞ سَآئِغٞ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَٰذَا مِلۡحٌ أُجَاجٞۖ وَمِن كُلّٖ تَأۡكُلُونَ لَحۡمٗا طَرِيّٗا وَتَسۡتَخۡرِجُونَ حِلۡيَةٗ تَلۡبَسُونَهَاۖ وَتَرَى ٱلۡفُلۡكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ ١٢
And not alike are the two seas [i.e., bodies of water]. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
Los dos mares no son iguales: uno es extremadamente dulce y agradable para beber debido a su dulzura, mientras que el otro es salado y amargo, por lo que no es potable debido a su extrema salinidad. De cada uno de esos mares comen carne fresca, que es el pescado, y de ellos extraen las perlas y los corales que usan como adorno. Pueden ver los barcos que surcan el mar cuando navegan, yendo y viniendo, para que puedan buscar la gracia de Al-lah por medio del comercio, y para que agradezcan a Al-lah por los muchos favores que Él les ha concedido.
35:13Page 436
يُولِجُ ٱلَّيۡلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱلَّيۡلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلّٞ يَجۡرِي لِأَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِن قِطۡمِيرٍ ١٣
He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allāh, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.
Al-lah hace que la noche entre en el día y hace que el día entre en la noche. Él sometió el Sol y la Luna, cada uno de ellos recorre su órbita designada hasta un tiempo fijado que solo Al‑lah conoce, que es el fin del mundo. Quien dispone todo eso y lo lleva a cabo es Al-lah, su Señor. Solo a Él Le pertenece el reino. Pero los ídolos que adoran fuera de Él no poseen ni siquiera la piel de un hueso de dátil, entonces ¿cómo pueden adorarlos además de Mí?
35:14Page 436
إِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ لَا يَسۡمَعُواْ دُعَآءَكُمۡ وَلَوۡ سَمِعُواْ مَا ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لَكُمۡۖ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِشِرۡكِكُمۡۚ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثۡلُ خَبِيرٖ ١٤
If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association.1 And none can inform you like [one] Aware [of all matters].
Si invocan a sus dioses, estos no pueden oírlos, porque son objetos inanimados que no pueden oír. Y, aunque oyeran cuando los invocan, no podrían responder. El día del juicio se disociarán de que los hayan idolatrado y de sus adoradores. Mensajero, no hay nadie que pueda informarte mejor que Al-lah.
35:15Page 436
۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ٱلۡحَمِيدُ ١٥
O mankind, you are those in need of Allāh, while Allāh is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
¡Gente! Ustedes son los que necesitan de Al-lah en todos sus asuntos y en todas sus condiciones. Mientras que Al-lah es el Autosuficiente que no necesita nada de ustedes, el Digno de alabanza en este mundo y en el Más Allá por lo que decreta para Sus siervos.
35:16Page 436
إِن يَشَأۡ يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَيَأۡتِ بِخَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖ ١٦
If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation.
Si Él quisiera destruirlos, podría eliminarlos y poner en su lugar a una nueva creación que Lo adoraría y no asociaría a ningún copartícipe con Él.
Destruirlos y poner en su lugar a una nueva creación no es imposible para Al-lah.
35:18Page 436
وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ وَإِن تَدۡعُ مُثۡقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمۡلِهَا لَا يُحۡمَلۡ مِنۡهُ شَيۡءٞ وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰٓۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ١٨
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allāh is the [final] destination.
Ningún alma cargará el pecado de otra, sino que toda alma cargará con su propio pecado. Si un alma que ha sido cargada con su pecado pide que alguien la ayude a cargar parte de él, no podrán ayudarla en nada, aunque se trate de un pariente cercano. Mensajero, solo puedes advertir del castigo a quienes temen a su Señor en su vida privada y cumplen correctamente con la oración, porque ellos son los que se beneficiarán con tu advertencia. Quien se purifique de sus pecados, siendo el mayor de ellos la idolatría, se beneficiará cuando regrese a su Señor, porque Al-lah no tiene necesidad alguna de la obediencia de Sus siervos. Ante Al-lah comparecerán en el Día del Juicio para rendir cuentas y ser retribuidos según sus obras.
El incrédulo y el creyente no son iguales, así como el ciego y el que ve no son iguales.
La incredulidad y la fe no son iguales, al igual que la oscuridad y la luz no son iguales.
El Paraíso y el fuego del infierno no son iguales en sus efectos, así como la sombra y los vientos cálidos no son iguales.
35:22Page 437
وَمَا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَحۡيَآءُ وَلَا ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰتُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسۡمِعُ مَن يَشَآءُۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسۡمِعٖ مَّن فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ ٢٢
And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allāh causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.1
Los creyentes y los incrédulos no son iguales, así como los vivos y los muertos no son iguales. Al-lah hace oír a aquellos a quienes Él quiere guiar. Pero tú, Mensajero, no puedes hacer oír a los incrédulos que son como los muertos en las tumbas.
Tú no eres sino un advertidor del castigo de Al-lah.
35:24Page 437
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ بَشِيرٗا وَنَذِيرٗاۚ وَإِن مِّنۡ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٞ ٢٤
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
Mensajero, te he enviado con la verdad de la que no hay duda, para albriciar a los creyentes acerca de la generosa recompensa que Él ha preparado para ellos, y para advertir a los incrédulos sobre el doloroso castigo que Él ha preparado para ellos. No hubo nación por la que no haya pasado un mensajero de Al-lah para advertirles de Su castigo.
35:25Page 437
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ وَبِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُنِيرِ ٢٥
And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
Mensajero, si tu gente te desmiente sé paciente, porque no eres el primer Mensajero cuyo pueblo lo desmintió: las naciones anteriores rechazaron a sus mensajeros como los pueblos de ‘Ad, Zamud y de Lot. Sus mensajeros fueron con pruebas claras y milagros evidentes que demostraban su veracidad, y con las Escrituras que iluminan a quien reflexiona en ellas y las contempla.
35:26Page 437
ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ ٢٦
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
Pero, a pesar de eso, no creyeron en Al-lah y Sus mensajeros, y los rechazaron junto a su mensaje, por lo que destruí a los que no creyeron. Así que reflexiona, Mensajero, cuán terrible fue Mi castigo cuando los destruí.
35:27Page 437
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٖ مُّخۡتَلِفًا أَلۡوَٰنُهَاۚ وَمِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ جُدَدُۢ بِيضٞ وَحُمۡرٞ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٞ ٢٧
Do you not see that Allāh sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.
Mensajero, ¿no ves que envié agua del cielo, con la que luego hice brotar frutas de diferentes colores: rojas, verdes, amarillas, entre otras, después de haber regado sus árboles? Y en las montañas hay vetas blancas, rojas y otras de un negro intenso.
35:28Page 437
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلدَّوَآبِّ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ مُخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَٰنُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَۗ إِنَّمَا يَخۡشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡعُلَمَٰٓؤُاْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ ٢٨
And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allāh, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Forgiving.
Entre los seres humanos, los animales salvajes y los ganados (camellos, vacas y ovejas) también hay de diferentes colores. Solo aquellos que exaltan a Al-lah y tienen verdadero temor de Él, son sabios, porque reconocen Sus atributos, Su ley revelada y la prueba de Su poder. Al-lah es Poderoso, nadie puede vencerlo. Él perdona los pecados de Sus siervos que se arrepienten.
35:29Page 437
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتۡلُونَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ يَرۡجُونَ تِجَٰرَةٗ لَّن تَبُورَ ٢٩
Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allāh and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a transaction [i.e., profit] that will never perish -
Quienes leen el Libro de Al-lah que le revelé a Mi Mensajero y que practican lo que contiene, cumplen con la oración de la mejor manera, y dan caridad de lo que les proveí, a través del zakat y de otras formas, en secreto y en público, son los que buscan por medio de esas acciones un trato con Al-lah, el cual siempre es provechoso.
35:30Page 437
لِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡ أُجُورَهُمۡ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٞ شَكُورٞ ٣٠
That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.1
Por lo tanto, Al-lah les dará la recompensa total por sus acciones y les concederá más de Su gracia, porque este es Su dominio. Él perdona los pecados de quienes tienen estas cualidades y aprecia sus buenas acciones.

وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ لَخَبِيرُۢ بَصِيرٞ ٣١
And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed Allāh, of His servants, is Aware and Seeing.
La escritura que te he revelado, Mensajero, es la verdad sobre la que no hay duda, que ha sido revelada por Al-lah para confirmar las escrituras anteriores. Al-lah está bien informado acerca de Sus siervos y lo ve todo. Por lo tanto, Él le revela al Mensajero de cada nación lo que necesitan en su tiempo y espacio.

ثُمَّ أَوۡرَثۡنَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَيۡنَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَاۖ فَمِنۡهُمۡ ظَالِمٞ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مُّقۡتَصِدٞ وَمِنۡهُمۡ سَابِقُۢ بِٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ ٣٢
Then We caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants;1 and among them is he who wrongs himself [i.e., sins], and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allāh. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.
Revelé el Corán a la nación de Mujámmad r, a la que Yo elegí sobre otras comunidades. Algunos de ellos fueron injustos consigo mismos al cometer actos prohibidos e incumplir sus obligaciones. Algunos fueron moderados, ya que cumplieron con sus obligaciones y se abstuvieron de actos prohibidos, aunque dejaron de lado algunos actos recomendados y cometieron algunos actos reprochables. Otros, con el permiso de Al-lah, se destacaron por sus buenas acciones, ya que cumplieron con sus obligaciones y con los actos recomendados, y se abstuvieron de actos prohibidos y reprochables.

جَنَّٰتُ عَدۡنٖ يَدۡخُلُونَهَا يُحَلَّوۡنَ فِيهَا مِنۡ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٖ وَلُؤۡلُؤٗاۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمۡ فِيهَا حَرِيرٞ ٣٣
[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
Los elegidos entrarán en jardines de residencia. Allí, llevarán brazaletes de oro y perlas y sus prendas serán de seda.
35:34Page 438
وَقَالُواْ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَذۡهَبَ عَنَّا ٱلۡحَزَنَۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٞ شَكُورٌ ٣٤
And they will say, "Praise to Allāh, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative -
Dirán después de entrar en el Paraíso: “Alabado sea Al-lah, Quien nos ha librado de la tristeza que nos causaba el temor de ingresar al fuego. Nuestro Señor es en verdad perdonador de los pecados de Sus siervos que se arrepienten, y Él es agradecido porque lo siguen.
35:35Page 438
ٱلَّذِيٓ أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ ٱلۡمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوبٞ ٣٥
He who has settled us in the home of duration [i.e., Paradise] out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."
Aquel que nos estableció en la Morada Eterna (por Su generosidad, no por nuestro poder ni fuerza) donde no sufriremos cansancio ni fatiga”.
35:36Page 438
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمۡ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقۡضَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ فَيَمُوتُواْ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِهَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي كُلَّ كَفُورٖ ٣٦
And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them1 so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We recompense every ungrateful one.
Para aquellos que nieguen a Al-lah el destino será el fuego del Infierno, donde permanecerán por la eternidad. No podrán morir y descansar del castigo, ni tampoco se les aliviará en nada el castigo del Infierno. Una retribución similar recibirá todo aquel que niega los favores de Su Señor en el Día del Juicio.
35:37Page 438
وَهُمۡ يَصۡطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَٰلِحًا غَيۡرَ ٱلَّذِي كُنَّا نَعۡمَلُۚ أَوَلَمۡ نُعَمِّرۡكُم مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَآءَكُمُ ٱلنَّذِيرُۖ فَذُوقُواْ فَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ ٣٧
And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us;1 we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.
Allí gritarán tan fuerte como puedan, pidiendo ayuda: “¡Señor nuestro! Sácanos del fuego y haremos obras justas, diferentes a las que hicimos antes, para que podamos obtener Tu complacencia y ser salvos de Tu castigo”. Al-lah les responderá: “¿No les concedí una vida lo suficientemente larga como para que quien quisiera prestar atención y hacer obras justas lo hiciera? ¿Y no vino a ustedes el Mensajero para advertirles del castigo de Al-lah? Por lo tanto, no tienen argumentos ni excusas después de todo esto, así que sufran el castigo del fuego”. Los que son injustos por su incredulidad y pecados no tendrán quien los libre del castigo de Al-lah ni quien lo alivie para ellos.
35:38Page 438
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَٰلِمُ غَيۡبِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ٣٨
Indeed, Allāh is Knower of the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
Al-lah conoce todo lo que está oculto en los cielos y en la Tierra. Nada de eso escapa de Él. Él conoce todo lo que Sus siervos ocultan en sus corazones, sea bueno o malo.
35:39Page 439
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَكُمۡ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيۡهِ كُفۡرُهُۥۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ كُفۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا مَقۡتٗاۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ كُفۡرُهُمۡ إِلَّا خَسَارٗا ٣٩
It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.
Él es Quien hizo que ustedes se sucedieran unos a otros en la Tierra. Los que nieguen a Al‑lah y lo que trajeron los mensajeros deberán cargar con el pecado y la retribución de su incredulidad. Su incredulidad no perjudica a su Señor. Su incredulidad solo hace aumentar el descontento y el rechazo de su Señor hacia ellos. La incredulidad solo hará que los que no creen pierdan aún más, ya que perderán lo que Al-lah habría preparado para ellos en el Paraíso si hubieran creído.
35:40Page 439
قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شِرۡكٞ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٖ مِّنۡهُۚ بَلۡ إِن يَعِدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ بَعۡضُهُم بَعۡضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا ٤٠
Say, "Have you considered1 your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allāh? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."2
Mensajero, diles a esos idólatras: “Respóndanme acerca de aquellos copartícipes que adoran en lugar de Al-lah, ¿qué han creado en la Tierra? ¿Crearon sus montañas? ¿Crearon sus ríos? ¿Crearon sus animales? ¿O participaron en la creación de los cielos junto con Al-lah? ¿O les he revelado un libro que pruebe la validez de la adoración a sus ídolos? Nada de eso es verdad”. Ciertamente, los que son injustos por su incredulidad y pecados solo se prometen engaños unos a otros.
35:41Page 439
۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ أَن تَزُولَاۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَهُمَا مِنۡ أَحَدٖ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورٗا ٤١
Indeed, Allāh holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one could hold them [in place] after Him. Indeed, He is Forbearing1 and Forgiving.
Al-lah contiene los cielos y la Tierra para evitar que se desplomen y, si se desplomaran, nadie los podría contener más que Él. Él es Paciente y no se apresura a castigar, es Perdonador de los pecados de aquellos de Sus siervos que se arrepienten.
35:42Page 439
وَأَقۡسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ لَئِن جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنۡ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مَّا زَادَهُمۡ إِلَّا نُفُورًا ٤٢
And they swore by Allāh their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion
Estos incrédulos juraron solemnemente y afirmaron que si un mensajero de Al-lah viniera a ellos para advertirles de Su castigo, seguirían la verdad más que los judíos, los cristianos y las demás religiones. Sin embargo, cuando Mujámmad r vino a ellos por haber sido enviado por Su Señor, y les advirtió del castigo de Al-lah, no hicieron sino aumentar su rechazo a la verdad y aferrarse a la falsedad. Faltaron a los juramentos solemnes que hicieron bajo los cuales afirmaron que serían mejor guiados que aquellos que los precedieron.
35:43Page 439
ٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَكۡرَ ٱلسَّيِّيِٕۚ وَلَا يَحِيقُ ٱلۡمَكۡرُ ٱلسَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهۡلِهِۦۚ فَهَلۡ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَۚ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَبۡدِيلٗاۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَحۡوِيلًا ٤٣
[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way [i.e., fate] of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way [i.e., established method] of Allāh any change, and you will never find in the way of Allāh1 any alteration.2
Cuando hicieron los juramentos en nombre de Al-lah no fue de buena fe y con un buen objetivo. Solo fue para mostrarse arrogantes en la tierra y para engañar a la gente. Las maquinaciones malvadas recaen solo sobre los que las maquinan. ¿Acaso esperan estos conspiradores arrogantes algo distinto a la práctica establecida por Al-lah, que es la destrucción tal como Él destruyó a sus predecesores que se asemejaron a ellos? No hallarán cambios en la práctica de Al-lah en cuanto a la destrucción de los arrogantes, por lo que no podrán evitar su propia destrucción.
35:44Page 439
أَوَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَكَانُوٓاْ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةٗۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعۡجِزَهُۥ مِن شَيۡءٖ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمٗا قَدِيرٗا ٤٤
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allāh is not to be caused failure [i.e., prevented] by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.
¿Es que estos desmentidores no han viajado por la tierra y reflexionado sobre el fin de las naciones anteriores que negaron la verdad? ¿No fue su final funesto cuando Al-lah los destruyó, aunque eran superiores a esta gente en fuerza y civilización? No hay nada en los cielos ni en la Tierra que pueda superar a Al-lah. Él es Quien conoce las acciones de estos desmentidores, ninguna de sus acciones está oculta ni se escapa de Él. Al-lah puede destruirlos cuando Él quiera.
35:45Page 440
وَلَوۡ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهۡرِهَا مِن دَآبَّةٖ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِيرَۢا ٤٥
And if Allāh were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon it [i.e., the earth] any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allāh has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.
Si Al-lah se apresurara a castigar a las personas por el mal que hicieron y los pecados que cometieron, habría destruido a todas las personas de la Tierra a la vez, junto con las riquezas que poseen. Sin embargo, Al-lah les concede una prórroga hasta un tiempo fijado, que es el Día de la Resurrección. Cuando llegue el Día de la Resurrección, Al-lah estará bien informado de lo que Sus siervos solían hacer, ya que nada permanece oculto de Él. Entonces los retribuirá por sus acciones, sean buenas o malas.
